IIRC, Jonathan Paul was a freeper about 6 or 7 years ago. His FR handle was the name of a cuddly critter. He spent an inordinate amount of time on Texas Cowboy’s (Cobb1 then) fire threads.

The ‘red scare’ was just recognition of reality, and the ‘green scare’ is more of the same.
Bring it on!

Eco bullies are generally cowards.
Too bad that the builder did not man up.
Maybe Jesse got to him first ?

I wonder why this newsy item has been relegated to “General/Chat?” I suppose these “domestic terrorists” don’t rank up there with Tim McVeigh in newsworthyness in the minds of some...

Paul was a firefighter of some sort in So OR. Can’t remember if he was a volunteer or worked crews in the fire season.

Two things I would like to point out.
1. Idealism.... it’s a grand thing until the consequences of the things you blindly espouse effect you personally.... then things are more of a guideline really.
2. Crime isn’t just committed by those with low self esteem. to be really heinous you have to be full of pride and self righteousness.
Elf members and those environmental whack jorbs, generally do not believe in God and mock those that do. However they are the most Pius and self-righteous people out there. They have to be because the more sensitive one is the more secularly righteous you are. And since there is no pure model like Christ then all they can do is compare and contrast their behaviors to each other. Therefore NO ONE will ever be good enough, because someone will always find just that one more thing to save.
Kinda like being a hindu. Endless spiral. Pathetic empty wastes of lives.

That sounds like it’s right on to me. I believe several of the women worshipped William Rodgers too, the guy that committed suicide in jail.

“I wonder why this newsy item has been relegated to General/Chat? I suppose these domestic terrorists dont rank up there with Tim McVeigh in newsworthyness in the minds of some...”
During and after the famous Klamath insurrection by FR, I caught hell from some senior freepers for daring to call the eco freaks, terrorist when they did acts of eco terrorism.
Violent and potentially dangerous acts are acts of terrorism when they are done by any group of whackos to gain a political or economic advantage over whom the acts are commited against.
