So, I get an error message when I go to Forum but I can post this, anybody else here??

All kidding aside, I can do everything but see my pings. Not to worry, as the “internal error” “has been logged.”
Please don’t ping me because I can’t see my pings.
It’t wierd. I had saved a post comment from an old article in my favorites on my pc. From that post I went to post article wich it has let me do. when I click on forum or browse all I get is an error message.
Had to google FR to find a way in.
If one types in FreeRepublic.com and you are logged in the result is the same - a logged internal error. Same thing if I try to access my pings as you pointed out.
I should add that going to “Forum” or “Threads” you get the same error message. However, going to “Messages” still works! ;)
Wake up y’all
Clicking on the tags in a post also results in the same error... I’m assuming by now they’re probably already aware and working on this as we speak.

HOUSTON — Seven people, including two children, were rescued from the Gulf of Mexico after their boat started to sink on Sunday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
United States Coast Guard officials said they got a call that a 20-foot pleasure boat was taking on water about 23 miles southeast of Galveston shortly after 8 a.m.
The seven were initially in the water, but had made it to a high island rig by the time rescuers arrived.
Officials said the seven were in good condition and wearing life jackets. The boat was towed back to Galveston.
The Coast Guard reminds boaters to:
wear life jackets
carry a VHF radio
be aware of weather, water conditions
never boat or paddle alone
file a float plan
be aware of other vessels in the area
be cautious

Look how dark the squares are around the “B” in the comparison. I think the illusion is that just because the letters say “exact same shade” does not mean it is true.
All you have to do is use your fingers to cover up as much of the image as you can except “A” and “B” and you see that they are not the exact same shade of gray.
My first thought, too.
That’s why I put them side by side.
If you have a graphic program, try it for yourself.

Hey! I think you are right. I just put sticky notes on my screen to cover up everything except the squares. They do look like the same shade. Damn!

There must be problems with the servers. This has been occurring too frequently in recent weeks. Not a good way to start the day and see and “Internal Error” when I start my computer and go to Freerepublic.
This does not suprise me, this is becoming a common happening.
I guess its because the top square is in the light while the other is in the shadow.

Well it has been happening to FR almost every week. I do not know if it is server related, hacking, upgrading or what, but at FR it has been happening more often then not.
Not sure what’s causing it, but this and a nonpolitical forum I’m on daily both were giving me the error message this morning. Now, it’s just the other site.

Yup, everything seems to be fine now. What was wierd the ony way to get to the forum was by clicking messages on the home page. The tags on the posting pages would result in an error message.
I kept getting an “Internal Error” message. Wondering how you even posted this thread...as I couldn’t get in. I had no problems with other sites I visit daily.
