Jack Kemp blasts Sean Hannity on H&C

Posted on 03/12/2008 7:26:43 PM PDT by Mr. Mojo

Anyone else see this exchange? As soon as Kemp got on camera he started blasting Sean for suggesting (on his radio show earlier today) that U.S. gov't has more than its fair share of corrupt politicians at all levels. ...which of course is quite true. Kemp was very irked -- voice raised, red of face. He not only asserted that Hannity was egregiously wrong, but accused him of intentionally and irresponsibly cultivating an attitude of mistrust in government among his listeners. It was Big Gov't Kemp at his RINO worst.

After cooling down somewhat he then switched gears to express his admiration for McCain's immigration/amnesty position -- (paraphrased) "we can't just have children ripped away from their mothers," he weepingly protested to Sean.

Then the topic was NAFTA, and ole Kemp suggested that those who don't approve of this particular trade agreement essentially wanted to put a halt to all trade with both Canada and Mexico. ...as if in the pre-NAFTA days trade with these two countries didn't exist.

Thankfully Kemp is retired, but the GOP needs to be purged of these Big Gov't types in a big way.

Screw Hannity. It needs to be remembered that Hannity wanted to cripple this country with four years of Rudy Giuliani.

He's an idiot.

Kemp.

Oh yeah—of Dole/Kemp.

It is amazing that Kemp could even make these statements with a straight face.

Maybe he thought no one would see how corrupt our political leaders are.

After all, the GOP standard bearer isn’t even a Republican, but a liberal Democrat. And the two Democrats are Communists. If America is that dumb, Kemp must think he can say anything and it will be OK.

Guess he thinks they have us all fooled.

Why is it that the open boarders crowd always resorts to pulling the heart strings with this red herring.

Nobody ever suggest that the parents of children can not take their US born children home with them.

It is so lame I have to almost weep for these poor peoples lack of intelligence when they open their mouths and this drivel comes out.

Does Kemp’s voice quality bug anybody but me? I can’t stand to listen to him talk. Nails on a chalkboard.

You've done a good job at that all by yourself, Jack.

Mr. Mojo, I believe that he morning after the first Tuesday in Novembe 2008 that there will be a shortage of Republican Office holders at the Federal level [Representatives and Senators].

The moving companies will have to hire extra help.

There's just something much bigger going on here that we don't know about. It has to be driven by the upcoming economic crisis that they are all trying to disguise. It's going to be hard to implement the 30's style WPA-type socialist programs they have planned to "save" us when everybody distrusts the government. And blaming someone as non-committal and moderate as Hannity (Rush Limbaugh maybe I could understand) is just ludicrous.

Mistrust of government power is the core value upon which the Republic was founded. Any politician who doesn't get that and appreciate the reason for it might as well be working for King George III and the Tories, and deserves zero public support.

well it is true that hannity is not exactly the next William F Buckley...
Kemp is right on Nafta but wrong on immigration and the size of the govt.

It is true that if you cut taxes, the economy will grow and there will be less need for welfare.

but you’ll still have a problem if people want welfare. Bureaucracies want to perpetuate themselves whether or not there is a problem and of course you’ll have lots of illegals coming if we offer them goodies. You have to cut the bureaucracy and you have to stop the illegals because you can have lots more growth and they will still bankrupt the country.

Kemp = Bush and Huckabee (before he ran on a new immigration platform).

The contract with america was successful because we cut taxes and reformed welfare at the same time. Under Bush we cut taxes but we increased welfare and that’s why we have such a big problem right now.

Jack, wake up and smell the coffe. We don’t like or trust politicians. This country was founded on a tax revolt and some of us haven’t changed all that much.

What is even better, Greta has on Newt to talk about Spitzer. I tuned out. What a laugh riot that would be but I didn’t want to see him struggle.

No, he's not. I just couldn't understand how he could be touting Rudy Giuliani. Maybe they were involved in an affair? I don't know, but he must be some kind of pervert.

hannity didn’t have to do anything. it’s people like Clinton and Spitzer and then you have the disappointments from even real conservatives like Duke Cunningham and Larry Craig that made the case for this attitude

Kemp sucked worse than Dole as a candidate, and thats hard to do.

His VP debate performance against algore was embarrassingly bad.

Kemp is a Rinos rino. A real POS. Not healthy enough for Vietnam but healthy enough to play for the Rams.

I have heard him coming of like quite the hard guy in interviews. Someone needs to remind him he is nothing but a a damn rino ba$tard.
