Thank-you for responding. :)
I remember you posted saying that the Big East had the point (.) numbers of .500 or so. What would the point (.) average in numbers be for the SEC, the one conference that had the most wins be overall? Thanks once again for your response. :)
Now it is off to the hoops races and best wishes for all the confernces for a good season on both the women’s and men’s sides. :)
What happened last night is a reminder of how crazy the BCS system has become.
True, it could be another season before the men show the great strength of the men’s teams of the past, but at least it gives me hope that if they keep up the good work, they could in March get back into brackets play. :)
A good way to prepare for next season, with an award player from TT. :)
Also did you see TT’s Coach Bobby Knight when he took his grandson to a press interview?
Remember how exciting New Year’s Day once was for college football? Thanks to the NCAA’s tinkering it’s now just another day. The system was far from perfect back then (I’ve always advocated a playoff system), but it was infinitely superior to the (BCS) one we have today.
Very few people outside of Ohio and Louisiana (and the schools’ alums) cared about last night’s game.
True, there was the fun of looking forward to the bowls on New Year’s Day. No more. The complaints are only going to get worse by next season.
And the BCS supporters will make the same lame, tired claim that all the complaints are "good for college football, because it gets people talking about it."
Yep, you got that right.
Coach Knight is funny - our football coach is a character too. Once in an interview at halftime, he was asked what his team needed to do to win the game and he replied something like, "get more points than the other team". lol
Chalk up another one for the Matadors!
Strive for honor evermore, long live the Matadors!
I already have my request in for season tickets........
We need more than Tebow. Hopefully Moody and Rainey will give us something resembling a normal running game, instead of just having to rely on Harvin for all of our offense.
Just read thru part of this thread and wow, some posts are nasty. At least on the NASCAR threads the personal stuff is left out (although everyone agrees it’s ok to bash Kurt Busch). Anyway, congrats to the LSU fans.
We would love to, but 9 hours each way is a long drive each weekend! lol
“Who stood at #1 for most of the season?”
OSU, but it was unwarranted. SEC teams can expect to have losses since they are few if any pushovers so they seldom are top ranked for that reason. It is a flaw in the system.
I feel for you as I am a long time Vikings fan who has lived through many disappointments, but having watched most of the LSU games this year, I can say the OSU would be a middle of the pack team this year in the SEC. It seemed like virtually every game LSU played this year was much, much tougher than the BCS game.
” NASCAR threads the personal stuff is left out (although everyone agrees its ok to bash Kurt Busch)”
LOL, ain’t that the truth. The big no-no is never even thinking a bad thought about Saint JR!! LOL. But I love the NASCAR threads. My drivers are Newman, Vickers and Biffle. So I get a some heat and bit my tongue, but I pity the Busch Brothers fans!!
Then ya'll don't travel well, because EVERYONE I met from Ohio, before and after the game, was incredibly nice, friendly, and gracious. There was not a sign of mean football from any fan there.
Thank you GOP_Raider and congrats to Despot of the Delta!!! See y’all next season....Rocky Top Tennessee! :]
