Guess where Canadian politicians go for healtcare?

Posted on 10/05/2007 4:05:36 PM PDT by truthfinder9

Hillary Clinton is out promoting more government control on healthcare. This is in spite of the fact that government meddling is a big reason for high healthcare costs and that “universal” government run healthcare in other countries is a failure. Take Canada. Guess where their politicians go for healthcare? Do they use their government run healthcare system? No, they come to America:

A better question: Where will the Canadian politicians go when the US implements socialized medicine (aka: HitleryCare)? Heck, where will we go?

Well, as Bill Clinton’s mistress, can’t she get dual citizenship?

Did Bill Clinton dump her?

From 2005:
New York Daily News columnist Ben Widdicombe told us the woman, Belinda Stronach, is a billionaire member of Canada’s Conservative Party, and she’s very possibly a future candidate for prime minister of Canada.

“She’s blonde, she’s ambitious and she’s in politics, but she’s not Bill Clinton’s wife,” Widdicombe said. “It’s Belinda Stronach, his friend from Canada who’s been visiting Bill in New York this week.”

“She gives money to his pet projects and in return, he supports her projects, for instance, a children’s hospital in Canada,” Widdicombe revealed.

Where does one of my Canadian relatives head whenever back in the USA?

Yep, to American doctors for a real check-up.

My guess? No.

Bill likely considers her less than a woman now that she has breast cancer. (he's a cad, if so!)

This is too...RICH!!!

Because, unless memory fails, wasn’t Stronach known for a move to the
liberal end of the Canadian political spectrum?

I DO NOT wish Ms. Stronach ill. I hope she got all the treatment she
needed to get well and be a survivor.

Here’s one speculative reason she went to California: All the Canadian-trained
doctors in California.
I met more than a few working at UCLA and over at USC.

We're getting all our annual stuff wrapped up by the 15th, because the Canucks are heading down to our area (Coachella Valley, CA) to do their snowbird winterization....which includes doctors.

You have interminable delays at the blood labs, etc., from now until Memorial Day, and God forbid you should need the ER during those months.

Hillary Clinton advocates universal healthcare because it polls well. She does not give a damn whether or not it is good for the country, the patients, or the children.

She wants to be President of the United States. That is all that matters. If the best health care system in the World has to be destroyed and hundreds of thousands die a premature death in order to make that happen, it is a price she is willing to pay.

It is important to look at some Canadian perspective on the health care issue. Support for universal health care is very high in Canada, indeed a large majority of Canadians regard their system as being substantially superior to the US health care system. Even the current conservative government is a strong advocate of the existing system and recognizes that it would be political suicide to propose a US type system.

Many Canadian snowbirds are able to use US doctors and hospitals and their extended Canadian benefits will pay for the medical services and even drugs bought in the US. I once inquired about the amount of medical advertising directed towards Canadian snowbirds in South Florida, I was told that Canadian medical insurance was very easy to work with and they paid all costs quickly and without any hassle.

My point is you had better prepare for a deluge of advertising that is going to explode the myth that the private US insurance companies offer a superior approach to care than other countries. Does it not bother you that many Canadians have full access to use US medical services when many Americans are denied the same service because they do not have sufficient insurance?
