Larvae take up residence on man's head

Doctors thought the strange, bleeding bumps on Aaron Dallas' head might be from gnat bites or shingles. Then the bumps started moving.
A doctor found five active bot fly larvae living beneath the skin atop Dallas' head.

Dallas' wife, Midge Dallas, teased him about it.
"I told him, 'I will love you through your maggots,'" she told the newspaper.
But Dallas saw little to laugh about.
"It's much funnier to everyone else," he said. "It makes my stomach turn over. It was cruel."

My sister had a blow-fly larvae in her leg. It was a cone-like bump similar to a huge pimple with a center. When we looked into the center we could see the thing move. When we call the doctor, he said we could squeeze it out just like a pimple.
The thing was about 3/4” long. Yuck! My dog got one the next year. I should tell you, we lived on a cattle ranch on the banks of a lake, so we were used to creepy crawlers.

Interesting procedure to get them out. Cover the site with Vaseline and clear tape. This forces the larvae to chew through the tape to breathe, once they are tat far out, remove tape and grab with tweezers and pull slowly. They get too be up towards 1/2 in ch long. Look for videos on youtube or google.
