Gas prices are out of control!
May 4 2007
Posted on 05/04/2007 11:24:41 AM PDT by balboa
Did anyone get this email about May 15 2007? On this day, the email states that there is going to be a walk out on buying gas, throughout the U.S.A..
In my opinion and the way gas prices are sky rocketing in the United States, this is a great idea! Lets show these politicians and oil companies who is really in charge, us! Lets all banned together, and show them how we can control the price of gas too!
May 15 2007
1. Everyone in the U.S. does not buy gas for one whole day! Gas up a couple of days before May 15.
2. Same goes for Natural and Propane gas, don't use it for the whole day.
If we don't make a stand now, it will be too late!

Pelosi’s and Reid’s fault. They blamed GW and the republicans before they gained power and promised to lower the prices. Prices are hitting all time highs since Pelosi and Reid took over. They are to blame.

The problem is, my FRiend, is that if everyone goes without buying gas one day, we will make it up the day before or after.
No one wins.

So the revenue will get moved around by a day or two, that wont help.
Secret to getting this to work would be for everyone to refrain from buying gas for two days for the reason that it would completely screw up the distribution process. That would hurt, but if you keep telling everyone what day it's going to happen then they can plan for it.
When you can send out a subliminal message to all the FReepers, then your cooking with gas fake charcoal briquettes...!

Unless you change your total consumption, it does not matter a whit if you don’t buy gas for one day...or two...or three.

1. Everyone in the U.S. does not buy gas for one whole day! Gas up a couple of days before May 15. This will accomplish the following:
diddly
-------
squat
...oh, and it might make you feel better.
2. Same goes for Natural and Propane gas, don't use it for the whole day.
But the increased pressure on the gas lines might make the whole city explode! ;-)
If we don't make a stand now, it will be too late!
It already is too late! The capitalists have taken over the world! People are free to buy or not to buy! They're free to seek alternative modes of transportation! They're free to ride a bicycle!
Save the women and children!
Oh, the hugh Manatee!

The Problem is not our Oil Companies, but the U.S. Congress and State not allowing any more refineries to be built in the U.S. This create a bottleneck in the demand and spikes the prices once the bottleneck has been reached.
I blame the democrats who have tied up our energy policy with extreme environmentalism. IMHO they are trying to break our economy so they can institute another form of government - a liberal one.

Good point. How do you keep the EVIL oil companies and gas stations from getting tipped off about the email?
They could drop the price on the day of the boycott and then raise it to $3.95 a gallon on the next three days.
We need secret decoder rings, so the gas stations can’t read about the boycott. That way we can sneak up on them!
