A retired accountant murdered his wife when her suicide attempt went wrong, a jury was told.
Frank Lund had climbed into bed with Patricia and watched as she swallowed 80 paracetamol tablets.
But when it became clear that the overdose was not fatal and she started to be sick, he pulled a plastic bag over her head and smothered her with a pillow, holding her in his arms until she died, the court heard.

I would still do this for my ex.
Speechless.
Well, at least he looks remorseful. [/s]
Although doctors said the condition would clear up in 18 months, Mrs Lund found it very embarrassing and often talked of taking her own life.
Ah yes, the very definition of a "loving husband" is someone who stands by while his wife attempts suicide over a temporary medical condition, and then murders her when her attempt fails.
As opposed to what a cruel husband might do, like reassure his wife that her embarrassing medical condition would pass, and pledge to stick by her through thick and thin while she recuperated.

:)
The headline is sarcasm, right??
That guy is scary looking. What a loser.
nope... I just added the part in the brackets---which was from the actal article.
He does look scary... maybe he poisoned her and when it didnt work used the bag.
who knows?
Smiling through the pain?
I went and read the article. How can they claim he was a loving, devoted husband when he killed her? I don’t understand what this world is coming to anymore. Bizarre story. Even the woman’s sons think he is superhubby.
Disgusting!
Grrrr - my skin is crawling... So now “love” means “I’ll kill you”.

Would I be surprised that he poisoned her, or encouraged her, or lied to her about her condition and drove her to desperation? No.
Wow - and women complain that their husbands aren’t helpful.
This was a temporary condition. Even if it wasn’t, a good husband would stand by his wife, and help her through the pain. A good husband would have prevented her from taking those pills and helped her find some therapy. The man looks incredibly evil. Well, the libs might give him some sympathy for “killing with compassion”.
