Well, now, I'm not a Mod, but I'm just loaded with good advice. First, the question itself. For a relative n00b it should be something fairly non-controversial that won't generate much heat. Like these -
1. Why do real men shoot 9mm and pansies shoot .45 ACP?
2. Why are Macintosh users commies?
3. Should all guns be banned and anyone owning one locked up for life?
4. Why is W.T. Sherman the greatest American general who ever lived?
5. Is Al Franken the new Tom Paine?
6. Are Harley riders all light in the loafers?
7. Illegal immigration - how do we encourage it?
...That kind of stuff. Stay away from the scary topics, don't start threads where people are likely to yell. Creationism threads are pretty safe. Stick with yer buddy BtD, m'man, I'll getcha through this...

This be a conservative forum, not "Ask Jeeves". A sense of humor helps, and maybe a little thicker skin. Find a thread you have an interest in and post a reply or your question within the thread. The search function works pretty good (top right of page)
