Home comforts for rare white tiger cub Reuters.com

Jan. 28 - A rare white tiger cub is being raised in a German home until he is big enough to join other large cats in a safari park.

There are about 250 white tigers living in captivity -- 80 of them are owned by the German entertainers Siegfried and Roy in Los Angeles.

When he's old enough, Pipo will live at the Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen.

Tom Metcalfe reports.

Eeeeee, is that your kitty?

Unfortunately no  :-(

I found the picture someplace on the internet and decided that I had to have it   :-)

I would love to have the job that this German couple has, but in just a few months that cute tiger cub will be able to easily rip my furry stoat head right off in about a half second

I love him!

Me too....the fisheye camera lens makes that pic particularly fun   :-)

Me too! I saw a program on TV a little while ago about a woman who raised baby clouded leopards until they were old enough to place in a zoo. SO lucky!

But yeah, my husband is always reminding me that my total lack of fear would be my (literal, limb-from-limb) undoing for sure! ;)

There was a similar show on raising polar bear cubs! They were adorable but as they grew, they got less adorable and more frightening.
