And this guy will spend his whole life whining about how no one will hire him for anything over minimum wage.

And not even some of those. Would you eat the pizza he delivered to your door?

He has this awesome Wolfman on his back that is just the most beautiful thing I've ever seen...

Really?

Or is it the most beautiful tattoo you've ever seen?

To each his own. I don't have one yet, but my husband has a profile of the devil on one shoulder and a cross (that was done when he was 11, with piano wire) on the other shoulder. Someday he wants to get a more elaborate catholic cross in it's place. Meanwhile, I still haven't decided if I want one or not. If I decide to, it'll be a small one, probably on my ankle or some place discreet.

IMO, tattoos are fine as long as they are in places that can be covered, if need be. While some tattoos are scary, evil and sometimes not very appropriate (as in the sandwich shop post above) and I agree that that is distasteful to be forced to view them, there are some really cool tats out there that blow my mind, the talent of some of these tat artists...wow.

Again, to each his own.

"Let's see, "tramp stamp" took less than 20 posts. Soon there will be terms like "slut", "trash", oh wait... trashy has been used to."

Well, there's a reason for that.

Some of us have been around and call it as we see it.

Most tattoos are unidentifiable from more than a foot or so. They just look like splotches from a distance. And how many women that were born with a blue splotch in the shape of a butterfly on their ankle, would be bummed with such a deformity? And want it removed.

One point if she smokes, one point for each tatto, one point for each piercing. Anything that adds up to four or more, she's easy.

Highly accurate. I would give 2 points for one of those above the anal crevice female tatoos, the so-called "tramp stamp."

Four points also appears highly correlated with STD, unfaithfulness, and infertility. Such four pointer losers should be avoided like the plague in my view.

He tried to get a job at a funhouse, but they wouldn't offer a 401(k) plan.

Madison's 10 tattoo parlors draw young adults and adults alike to invest in body art.

"INVEST" .... bwahahaha!

Let's see, "tramp stamp" took less than 20 posts. Soon there will be terms like "slut", "trash", oh wait... trashy has been used to.

You forgot "skank".

"Well, there's a reason for that.

If you got ugly and bitter out of that, I don't know what to tell you. You haven't seen anything yet. You want to blame me for how women who have these tatoos are viewed by the whole of society in general, go ahead. Whatever makes you feel better.

You nor anybody else is going to tell me others and my lifetime of experiences is trumped by your "feelings". Not all women with tattoos are skanks (although most I have met are or were) but most all skanks have tattoos.

You can want that not to be true all day, every day. Doesn't make it so. Anybody who says sex wasn't in their mind when they got their tongue pierced is a liar, too. More advertizing, "I'm a slut."

Well, yeah. Sunsets are better, but I appreciate the talent the medium requires. :)

Wow everybody here hates tats. Women who have them are skanks etc. White trash hmmmm..... I wonder why it concerns them so much as it is not their bodies. I wonder how many people they know and respect have them in places they don't see.... I really am amazed at some of the people who I see post here and their comments. People I post to , like and respect..... Well for all of you guess what... I have TATs. I am not a skank, white trash or a tramp. Now I guess I am all that in their minds. Boo hoo... For the person who commented on the guy who served her lunch and she was grossed out ...maybe he is grossed out by you. To the people who say tats stretch and fade...wrong again. If you take care of them and put sunscreen on them they don't fade nor do they stretch unless you are so huge and lose weight that your skin is hanging.......... The people that were interviewed for this story , well I think they are morons too.......Weber said her visible chest and arm tattoos have really affected her public life.
"I can't go into a store with a short sleeved shirt without someone coming up to me and grabbing my arm or saying 'that's cool,'" she said. "It's a real lack of private or personal space......... To her I say this, why did you get them if you didn't want comments?....I think tattoo sleeves on a woman do look nasty and most men I know don't like them either. Tattoo ink has changed since my dad's old Navy one and so have the needles.......... I think people don't think long and hard enough before getting them. And Hep C is a problem if you go to a place thats dirty...... The tats today are expensive if you want to get a good artist to do one...... Many people will regret getting them is a true fact. Removal is expensive too and usually leaves scars........ I don't know of a tat artist who will do any work without talking to you long and hard about what you are doing and why. They won't do them on anyone underage. It is their art your body is wearing and most are quite serious about it.......... But then what would this white trash skank know? Funny but if you meet me you wouldn't see my tats, they're personal and I don't show them. All except for the beauty mark by my eye which you wouldn't even know was one unless I told you.

"Wow everybody here hates tats."

Since you addressed this to me, I'll clarify: I don't.

I posted this article because I thought it was a nice Mother/Daughter story. The people that don't like them expressed their views, and while I don't have any, I don't deny others the right to have them if they want them. And I appreciate the artful tattoos on my friends and family.

BUT...as in the case of the Skullface Guy, that's just beyond the pale. You don't disfigure yourself to THAT extent if you DON'T want attention...either positive or negative. For some people, either will do. ;)

I think there's a lot of psychological garbage behind obsessive tattooing and piercing, and while it's never been "my" style, it works for others.

I can't think of a single person I know, aside from my Mom that doesn't have a tattoo of some sort.

Maybe I'm the freak? LOL!
