How do I...
Any help would be appreciated.
No real rules. Best thing to do is to just keep a .txt file of FR names of people on your ping list separated by semi colons. When you find something you want to ping your list about, just copy and paste their entire list into the 'To' field of your reply post.
Many people keep their ping lists on their profile pages. If you look at mine, you'll see two ping lists way down at the bottom, past the babies.
This is (first) so that the list is convenient and accessible, and (second) so that other can use the list if they wish.
As far as protocol, it's not unusual for ping lists to have a colorful graphic. (This is beyond my html skills, though :-). You add people to the list if they ask, and take them off if they ask to be removed.
First, you need to freepmail me your social security number, date of birth, bank account numbers and credit card information.
You forgot to ask for the first born son.
Nice pictures on your profile page. You have beautiful children!
1) Copy and paste into the "To:" slot the updated list of the SPL members (see bottom of this message).
2) Copy and paste into the body of your post this little Swedish flag .gif and ping message:
Ping to the Swedish Ping List.
3) Type SWEDEN in the Keywords section of that thread.
When I periodically get requests from people wanting to be added to the list, I just add their names and let the rest of the list know.
BTW, CDY, are you on the Lutheran Ping List?
Thank you very much!
I'm in Wisconsin, but it looks like you could go to this page and sign yourself up for notices: http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/profiles2?location=66;m=options-prompt
If it's a ping list on Rumsfeld or DoD, please include me.
The way I figure it, if he's dumb enough to comply, then I don't really want his offspring. ;-D
