LOS ANGELES - "Dynasty" star John Forsythe has been treated for colon cancer and he's recovering at an area hospital, his spokesman said Thursday.
Forsythe, 88, was diagnosed with colon cancer Sept. 28 and was taken to a hospital where he underwent treatment over the past week, Harlan Boll said.
"He seems to be in good spirits," Boll said. "They hope to have him home this weekend."
Forsythe is best known for playing Blake Carrington on the hit TV soap "Dynasty" and being the voice of Charlie in both the TV and film versions of "Charlie's Angels."

Sounds like another great actor about to leave us.
When I was a kid, I used to watch his great sitcom called "Bachelor Father."
Brings back some great memories.
I always liked John Forsythe ... so elegant and charming. He's certainly had a full life, 88. I hope this treatment is successful and he has a few more comfortable years.
I liked him in the Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Trouble with Harry".
88???
Wow--I did not realize he was that old. I remember him on "Bachelor Father."
