Glen Beck

Posted on 08/14/2006 7:25:30 PM PDT by deener

Have any Freepers looked in on the Glen Beck Show on the Headline Prime cable channel and if you have, what do you think of it? This guy really has the War on Terror issue nailed down.

In my opinion, Glen Beck is the only voice of sanity on CNN/Headline Prime. He hits the War On Terror and Islamic Fascism issues on almost every show and he does it in a "no holds barred" manner combined with a wry humor which I find easy to watch. This guy would give O'Reilly a real run for ratings if he were on Fox.

I only watch CNN when there is none of 1,000 other things to do and none of 500 other channels to watch.

I totally agree you about CNN (and MSNBC). However, I've been stuck in a hotel for the past several weeks that only has CNN and Headline Prime - no FOX! That's how I came across this guy. Trust me. Glen Beck is a thinner version of Rush. He not only 'gets it' but he also has a sense of humor. Give him a try. We need to keep him on the air.

He has an Ask Glenn podcast on iTunes. Short and funny and you don't have to put up with the rest of CNN.

Beck's very talented. His radio show is always worth a listen, too.

Beck... Glenn Beck... is awesome!

His radio show is even better than the Headline News show.

I can hardly wait for Moron Trivia to restart!

I'm eager to see the progression of Beck's ratings. They
must be showing CNN what they need to do to fix the rest of their programing. Beck claims no authority, expertise
in 'reporting',etc. - just his common sense opinion. Beats the shrill H & Combs never ending bickering.

Hannity by HIMSELF would be a good show like Glenn's....Colmes is HIDEOUS. Don't watch because of him.

I have heard him a lot on the radio and don't care much for it, but I saw this TV show last night and enjoyed it. TV is better for him, I think.

We used to watch O'Reilly, but lately noticed, when he is hosting his own show (not a substitute doing his job), there is 10 minutes of program and 20 minutes of commercials. When he reads viewer e-mails, they must come from paying viewers, others have no say, and he uses every opportunity to hawk self-indulgent "Factor" products when he should be reporting Factor news. We're losing the inclination to watch him.

Glen Beck tells it like it is, has irreverent "history" lessons and has won us over completely with his ability to mix serious topics with a great sense of humor.

All Fox minutes with Alan Colmes ruin what could be a great show with Sean Hannity. Colmes makes switching channels very easy.

By far the best news commentary show on TV. I Tivo it while I'm watching it just to re-watch his facial expressions and to catch some of his zingers that I miss the first time around from laughing so hard.

Enjoy it, but watch a lot of it closed-captioned while listening to Mark Levin on the radio...

Hi there! I've just discovered Glen Beck and have really really enjoyed watching him. Yesterday he had a great review and exclusive interview with the journalist who's interviewed bin Laden on several occassions, and who explained the background that led up to the new warnings for Muslims to leave the U.S. It was truly fascinating, but frightening too ....journalist really made it sound as if an attack in America is imminent. Beck said the interview with the journalist, will be posted, in full, on his website.
