Discounting the dive by disgraced France in tonight's World Cup final that made it 1-1 till the penalty shoot out phase, Italy won all their games except for when the USA team held them to a 1-1 draw. That's pretty good. :)

France are still a nation of wimps! Italy has now won the World Cup four times - 1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006.

I'm somewhat of a soccer fan. I watched most of the game.
France looked much better - but the bottom line is the final score.
Italy looked tired - but they did what they had to.
I was shocked at Zidane's head-butt of the Italian player.

My Roman wife can start breathing again. The kids are muttering in Italian and wearing Totti t-shirts.
Bravo Azzurri!

I can't believe the dirty scumbag foul committed by Zidane towards the end. I've never seen such a filthy display of poor sportsmanship. In the end his girlyman hissy-fit cost them the game. The fellow who missed the shot on goal was his substitute.
I will forever remember Zidane for his hideous attack on a fellow sportsman. Live with that forever, you stinking frog!

The fellow who missed the shot on goal was his substitute. Wow. I had no idea. There is no honor in the French. He really, really was a massive wad in every way.

In any case- I am glad that Italy won and, more importantly, france lost.
