OK gang. Time to put the old iconoclastic part of the old thinker to work.
Yeah, I have enjoyed Ann's acidic barbs and laughed out loud at some of her more outrageous pronouncements over the years - though frankly, her act is getting a bit old with me - but that is not what this vanity is about.
I suspect that we are all secretly aware that her public persona displays more than a little evidence of exhibitionism and narcissism....the woman clearly has some personality issues. I personally think that she likely has a low sense of self-worth, which her public persona would appear to compensate for....
I would like to hear opinions on this topic from any FReepers who are psychologists or psychiatrists.
Oh, and in case some of you didn't get it, I'll repeat myself:
THIS VANITY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MS. COULTER'S POLITICAL VIEWS. It is meant to provoke some thought about her method of promoting them (and herself).
I suspect that few Freepers would want their daughters to behave as Ms. Coulter does - both in terms of her outrageous rudeness and her never-married lifestyle.
ROTFLMAO!!!
I AM pathological! You've read me! (Or my homepage!!)
You are aware of the meaning of long nails on the house/tree/person drawing test?
I think you would benefit from reading them as well.
These aren't just rules for would-be presidents, they are general rules for how a civilized person behaves (here's a tip: bashing people with clubs and stealing their women is no longer considered appropriate behavior). You do believe in moral absolutes, don't you??
The folks who advocate (as I did for a long time) that the only way to beat the libs is to adopt their tactics are in danger of becoming that which they dislike most...
Now, now.
Are we trying to raise the level of someone else's reality testing? Congruence? . . .
LOL.
Well said.
Whew, glad you got rescued!
If your mental mastications on this thread are what we should expect from a "Mensa qualified" graduate of a top 15 law school, it's a good thing wisdom is not the same thing as a mental parlor game for narcissists and there are 14 better law schools than number 15.
Yeah - like that I don't like intellectual laziness.
If you choose not to believe a body of evidence amassed through hundreds of years of documented scientific inquiry because you (erroneously) believe that accepting it at face value would compromise your Faith, I would call that type of behavior foolish...
It appears from your remarks that it was OK with you until she didn't toe the line on Darwinism.
As you have likely read by now, I'd have no problem with my daughter behaving as Ann does in public--short of the sleeping around--though I'm not aware of her doing that in public. I think That's Billdo Klintoon's dept.
I actually see Ann as quite tender-hearted, even wise, gracious and polite except to the traitorous idiot evil dolts who deserve--well deserve otherwise.
And given that our culture has taken to glorifying evil instead of punishing it--I don't mind her publicly castigating it up one side and down the other all the live long day and night.
Praise God for such good parental instructions, values, priorities. I trust and pray your sons abide by such quality teaching.
Maybe its just late, Quix, but I have totally lost you here...
I suspect there may be a lot of detail in the face of her "person".
so then, admittedly, you are looking at a strong woman, ann, through the prism of your own experiences, and your feelings would have to be somewhat colored by them, correct? i am sorry your experience has not been better, seriously.
I have long thought that perspective to be accurate about Rush.
I think Rush probably has a bit of an overinflated view of himself--but not 1/100th what a lot of people seem to think he has. He's spoofing his image up one side and down the other. And probably enjoying winding up the DIMRATS with it. I think it's his little joke with himself and those discerning enough to catch it.
I think Ann does some things similarly at times.
I think I understand your perspective. It's not mine. I'm not interested in the interminable go-around on that topic hereon.
Thanks anyway.
Brave, too; considering the Bots around here.
There is 'Crazy' and then there is 'Crazy like a Fox'.
But that would have rated you a "C" in law school.
So I have sworn off of them completely for the time being...
Yes Al, we see. -- You deny them your essence.
Smart move.
