A cup of coffee in the morning helps some kids calm down and concentrate. That has always baffled me. I find that even one strong cup of coffee in the morning makes me jittery.
Hmmm?

I find that even one strong cup of coffee in the morning makes me jittery.I've been drinking coffee for breakfast since I was 13 (40 years now). I have a few cups during the day and usually have the pot working all weekend. It's a matter of getting used to it.
It has no effect on me. It has no effect on me.

The theory is that the coffe will calm hyperactivity. I know it seems counterintuitive. something about a kids body chemistry.
But I think they have to be hyper first or it doesn't work as a sedative...it works like it does in everyone else.
