DURHAM -- A March 14 Duke Police Department report that downplayed gang-rape allegations against the school's lacrosse team stemmed from what a Duke officer overheard while listening to a Durham Police Department sergeant's cell phone conversation, City Manager Patrick Baker said Tuesday.
The Duke officer, Christopher Day, never actually spoke to the sergeant or conducted any follow-up inquiry before telling his superiors that the woman at the center of the case had changed her story several times, and that her allegations were unlikely to produce serious charges, Baker said.

The feminazis on the talk shows were extremely "tense" tonight; I thought Wendy Murhphy's head was going to blow off.
Frankly, I love watching them come up with excuse after excuse as to WHY she's still credible and WHY Nifong *must* have something we don't know about that will prove she's not a lying slut.
Tucker Carlson flat out called her a prostitute tonight and the two women on with him went ballistic; he held his ground.

What else could one expect from Ms. Murphy? The woman in this case could today claim that the Duke Lacrosse team also had a 7 year old there and he raped her too and Ms. Murphy would think that made the woman even more credible.
Tonight when I was watching her scowling on the screen, once again I feared her face would split right down the middle and fire would shoot out of her eyes.
She really is quite a scary woman.
My interest in this debacle is more of a scientific one. It'll be interesting to see just exactly how far this Dim prosecutor lets himself be jerked along by the race hustlers in order for him to appear 'fair'.
I feel sorry for the accused here, I really really do. But I've got to tell you I think these kids should have been just a touch smarter than they were.
Now I'm not condoning the obvious prosecutorial farce here, but if those kids had followed my mothers "nothing good ever happens after midnight" maxim along with Lurkers Rule Of Life #47 "Don't hire Hookers. They're never as cute as they are on TV and there's no such thing as one with a heart of gold." they wouldn't be in this mess.
Once again, I'm certainly not condoning the behavior of this Nifong dipstick. He's a pandering charlatan who's going to get his head handed to him if he actually takes this thing to trial. But let's face it. Them hiring 'exotic dancers' as entertainment for a college dorm was pretty fricking stupid. Not to mention it's just plain gross.

No doubt about it, they brought it on themselves, in one way.
But, really, who would have ever thought it would turn into this?
I saw Wade Smith on TV today; that guy does not play -- he's going to tear Nifong apart -- and the accuser, too.
And I seriously doubt Bob Bennett is in Durham for the Rice Diet!
BTW, Tucker doesn't wear the bow tie anymore. He gave it up. Maybe you can watch now?
And I'm not even going to ask you what happened to you that compelled you to draw up Rule #47! :-)
