Welcome to all Posters/Hosts/Hostesses!

This is for the hosts present, past, future to share information & be the “nuts & bolts”, housekeeping, sharing of issues etc. for the thread. I am putting it in an obscure “chat” category so we can escape some exposure as this is NOT a GENERAL chat thread but rather one of limited interest.

Rather than post all the information ON THIS THREAD, I have provided links. This way I can change the material in the document when needed as updates or modifications.

We as hosts can give ideas, help each other & use this forum as a sounding board, more or less. FR does NOT have a closed chat area & we may eventually set one up somewhere, but for now I have decided this is the best way to share all the information.

When you post the thread PLEASE read the instructions on posting a thread, if you don’t know how. ALSO, PLEASE, PLEASE, use the OFFICIAL PINGS for ALL THREE DAYS!

For music, each team is on their own. If you like it & know how to do it… go for it. MoJo who originally was to do this for us, found her situation changing & could not. DO NOT FEEL YOU MUST DO MUSIC. It is a really nice addition but is surely optional.

Share your questions HERE rather than Freepmail so all have the chance to see what is going on. Try to hit the thread at least once a week to see what is current.

The Single’s thread is a refuge & center of fun & friendship for Singles & their friends. We will support each other, help each other, laugh with each other & grieve with each other.. This is not a “fix um up” site per se, but one never knows what might happen along the way.

Esther (Najida) is go for this weekend. And is doing a mother's day theme. She will be posting the thread & doing pings (maybe nowhereman &/or RCA help???)

It would be nice if we could all do a tribute to our mom's along the way. I know some of you have better relations with mom, than others. Snugs this is going to maybe be a rough Sunday for you as your first mother's day w/o Mom(those who don't know, her mom died last christmas)

Let's go with Stephen/Jackie for the following weekend (20-22) for the British Invasion -- maybe Eleanor could add a little to thread (as she is FROM ENGLAND!)

Eleanor & Proud Yank will be then the weekend following 27-29(which happens to be Memorial weekend & will be a four day weekend)

As always we will help each other out with graphics / material we come across along the way & post on thread for interest

I am going to see if NoWhereMan & or RCA will be her "assistant" this weekend.. but if anyone who is around could just do the regular, welcome of all etc. AS she will be doing the posting, it will mostly be help with "visiting" guests to the thread unless SHE WANTS OTHER HELP...


I am also going to post this on the " maintenance"/"Nuts & Bolts" thread so all will again have it & the resources (ping list, ping URLs, how to post a thread etc) for your use.

I'll be ready to go when you need me. I am getting the music together and the body is done except for the html coding, which I am going to work on this week.

I someone backs out my partner and I will step in.

This is a great learning experience for me and I am glad I volunteered.

JUST got in & correct.. I will be setting up hopefully more or less a more permanent set of teams as host/hostesses. Rotating once a month is the goal. Need dependable folks who will commit to the thread for at least a 4 month period..

This will be run like the other larger threads(dose, Finest). ..the hosts will be regulars & no new ones added. It will be prestige to be a host...(hopefully)

Kate, you have to see how your schedule will be & you also stout..

Above is the host/hostess ping list for next quarter. As I said on this weekend's thread I would like to firm up the dates.

The ONLY ONE taken is the weekend before Halloween.

Kate I know what you wrote about availability. No need to do more than the Oct date. IF you can fine.. but you are covered.

Snugs and I will be dividing up the work/responsibilities. She has been covered up as well as I have. Between us hopefully we can go for smoother running.

You can pick someone from the thread to be your assistant.. ie, greet new/old folks, keep conversation going, make sure things don't get raunchy etc.

As you know I am out a LOT on weekends. I appreciate snugs pinging the list for me now & then. You need to feel free to find someone to ping also.

Several of you work Friday PMs (or like Max at Pacific time, later).. Feel free to post thread the night before & one of us can ping on Friday - but make arrangements first!

Trussell will NOT be posting a thread but will do music for us when she is able. If you have special requests to go with your thread, make sure you get her the info early as possible, she works, has a family & is busy with canteen.

But trussell if you ever WANT to maybe do a "just music" thread and can use the music you already prepaerd for Canteen this is great. I can put you on schedule. You can find an assistant to help with hostessing.
