Because, like liberals, they quickly forget/hide how many times they were wrong.

I have a friend who likes to buy paperbacks filled with predictions for the year by the psychics. He tosses them in his closet and then brings them out a year or so later.

It's a real hoot, because they get just about everything wrong.

Example: Irene Hughes in 1979 predicted the death of Castro and the re-election of Jimmy Carter that year.

This is why it is necessary for 'psychics' to hide from their past predictions in the same manner that liberals hide from their failed policies.

Have you heard the one about the dwarf scam artist who told bogus fortunes? She was arrested, but managed to squeeze through the bars of her cell. The headline said:

Small Medium at Large.

Psychics are mostly liberals for one simple reason--they do not have a real job.

Russell Kirk pointed out that the first principle of conservatism is a "Belief in an Enduring Moral Order" which in the majority of conservatives is a transcendent God, expressed in that moral order and for atheistic conservatives in a belief in a moral code that doesn't change with the wind.

People who are in the fields you mention rarely have traditional religous foundations. They may be "spirtual", "full of love" or any number of like things but conservatives rarely need apply.

Traditional beliefs also generally see God as the initiator and man as the responder. That doesn't fit in to many sales pitches by prognosticators of the unknow trying to get a finacial or other toe-hold on the consumer of the fortune telling or ghost summoning.

I would use another word for it. Demonic.

The left opposes God's law, morality, and faith. It makes perfect sense that those who practice divination, which opposes God's law, would share political views with the Godless left.

Be wary of these folks, Pippin.

Aren't there any Conservative Psychics or mediums?

Conservatives tend to believe what they see. If religion as practiced by Christians falls into the psychic category(which it does not), then there are a lot of Conservative psychics (which there are not).

imho,

it's fairly elementary.

There's God . . .

And there's his p*ss ant opposition--satan. There's not any other source.

Satan is behind globalism as The Bible predicted 2,000 years ago and logner.

Liberals are far more into conscious deliberate rebellion and idolatry of various types. Guess who the sponsor of those habits are!

Satan glorifies personal pleasure over personal responsibility. Sounds like the Dillbo Billdo & Shrillery Fosterizer we know!

The demonic oriented 'psychic' powers seem to specialize in supposedly personally controllable extra powers. Actually, demonic forces delude the individuals concerned while sinking them deeper and deeper into demonic control and even demonized states.

Scripture exhorts us to seek God Almighty for all wisdom and knowledge. Counterfeit sources are fiercely proscribed in Scripture.

Small wonder that rebellion against God's strong exhortations in such matters bring personal, social and national chaos and destruction.

People in any form of nontrditional spirituality are more likely to be liberal than conservative. Conservatives tend to be drawn to more traditional spirituality.

I wonder why more mediums are not wealthy. If they have insight to the future, why not use it to do well. Yes, it would seem that well done mediums are rare.

I would add, Pippin,

it's probably a very unwise thing to go Googling around for psychic info etc. It's akin to the Biblically proscribed avoidance of horoscopes, palm reading etc.

God may assign some folks to be researchers and learn and know about such things to keep close tabs on them for alerting the Body of Christ at large what to watch out for and be prepared for.

But for most Christians etc. they are wise to steer totally clear of such sources.

There are good sources of prophetic sorts of input from Holy Spirit

--BILL SOMERS' SITE and

--THE ELIJAH LIST

both offer food for prayerful thought which, at least, ostensibly comes from folks focused on God Almighty, His Word; Christ; His Spirit.

However, I'm rather dismayed still at the flawedness of even the authentic Christian prophetic in our era. I believe many things are averted by prayer. I believe many authentically Holy Spirit gifted individuals are still learning to walk in their gifting and making plenty of errors as they learn.

However, I think God will be cleaning all this up--I just don't understand why He seems to be taking a long time doing it. So, one has to take all such very loosely and put it on a high shelf and wait to see what God confirms.
