This is a new channel on Dish Network. They play Ducumentaries 24/7. This is the first time I have seen "Waco, The rules of engagement.
One of these days it will be possible to do that to a Baptist Church. The slopes are slippery, indeed!
makes the NSA and Patriot act debate look silly.
Oh yes, you should fear your govt as much as you fear any criminal. These people were murdered, no question. Hillary will never be asked one questiona about it either during her presidential bid.
I do not know if the version you saw debated this, by it takes a real moron to try to tell someone the infra red picks up reflected light in such a fashion. infra red picks up heat...

Question: did they really have Tanks, i.e. plural? I remember this but I was much younger back then.

Here's a good 'outline'

Thank you, I will include your URL when I give a heads up for this to be replayed on 3/5/06 at 7:30 PM CST.
I can recall when this event first began & I remember distinctly staying home from work to watch the final tragedy unfold.
I couldnt believe my eyes what I was watching on TV.
I get DirecTV - but I believe this documentary is on DVD, no? Despite the fact re-visiting this story makes me sick to my stomach - I need to see this again.

Above URL has info and a way to get the DVD and it has tons of pictures and info.
You're welcome.
Thanks, I will finally check that out. I think I heard of it before, but I never looked into it....
I recall the Branch Davidians visiting my college & handing out pamphlets in the mid-70's. They were harmless then - just trying to recruit more believers.
Okay, fast-forward to the '90's. Yeah, Koresh took over & had some very whacked out ideas and he twisted their religion & beliefs, but they never deserved the wrath of the US govt.
Bubba got away with mass murder, clear & simply put.
Check the runtime. HBO ran 2 different edits (HBO did not produce the film, I think that the shorter version was made with consent of the filmmakers)
There was sort of a sequel (different producers) that had footage of the officers beating up a reporter who was on the scene the day of the initial raid.
I've never seen a destructive raid on any militant mosques in America (yet some Imam have been arrested).
This was unprecedented to use tanks against American citizens on American soil.
The left says that it was Koresh's fault that the children died but they also say it is wrong for Bush to wage war against Iraq to get Saddam (too many innocents must suffer). Saddam was given the opportunity to step aside.
Then again, there was an Easter morning raid with firepower in a child custody dispute (Elian).
I've seen the stormtroopers. They rampaged in Bill Clinton's America. EVERYONE'S phones were tapped without court order (Echelon). 900 FBI files were illegally obtained (suspected for blackmail purposes). The left didn't care. They put party before country.
I see that I had that backwards:
"So the producers of the first movie released this one in 1999 to "rebut" the governments "answers" to the first movie. So I can see why the direct approach was taken. (And it's very direct.)"
