- A conservative advocacy group is taking some of the credit for NBC's decision to cancel its new television series, "The Book of Daniel."
The American Family Association (AFA) called for a boycott of the "anti-Christian program," even before the first episode aired.
In a message to its supporters on Tuesday, the AFA welcomed news that the program has been canceled. "Your efforts, combined with those of hundreds of thousands of other AFA Online supporters, had an impact."
NBC said it dropped the Friday night show three weeks after the first episode aired because of low ratings.

Interesting...
Which offended group whines loudest - Christians or homosexuals?
I think it's a toss-up.
Already started and ended ... HBO's Six Feet Under
""Which offended group whines loudest - Christians or homosexuals?""
no toss-up. homos whine loudest, for obvious reasons.
LOL...and we need a TV show for that? When all that a lot of us have to do is 'phone home' and get reminded why we moved half a continent away from there?
LOL excellent example
Which offended group whines loudest - Christians or homosexuals?
Interesting juxtaposition.................
I don't know, but the all-time champions have to be the athieists. Madeline Murray O'Hare and Michael Newdow have to be the all-time champions when it comes to whining busybodies.
"but the all-time champions have to be the atheists."
Interesting point, as the atheists have, indeed, managed to take their whining all the way to the Supreme Court.
I still think it's a toss up for 2nd place, though.
"The far-right Christian Kook label (implied) is used by media whores such as Bill O'Riley and political whores such as Hillary Clinton. Both O'riley and Hillary never miss a chance to take a cheap shot at Christians. Nor do some who post on FR."
True, but like the popular conservative email circulating during the Clintax years and during the onset of insidious PC, "Noone has the right to not be offended".
This includes conservatives and Christians, along with all the whiners on the left.
I don't honestly know if the boycott had much to do with it.
There already have been quite a few shows that just didn't interest ANYONE, this one included.
Example: Emily's Reasons Why Not. I'll tell you why not, only one episode was aired.....
This is series and hugh.
While there is no "right" to not be offended, there is a RESPONSIBILITY from a major corporation like NBC.
Their advertisers know what the blowback was on this. It was "edgey" and appealed to some voyeuristic audiences who find glee in others' misery but that miniscule audience wasn't enough to offset any potential boycotts the sponsors may have faced.
