Most of the game was smashmouth defensive football. But things started going Denver's way and the Patriots could do nothing to prevent their chances of "three-peating" from slipping away.
3 INT's and three fumbles recovered by Denver sealed it. The Pats got pounded in Denver tonight! Yeeeeehaaaaaw!
What a season, eh? So many dominant teams. So many greeeeeat games. I can't wait for tomorrow!
"That Champ Bailey fumble looked like a touch back to me."
Close but inconclusive. Gotta love how TE Watson had a bead on Bailey. What a great shot that CBS showed of Watson's hustle. These are the reasons why I got an HDTV.
Brady fumbled in 2002.
I predict the Bears win 24-13
Don't get me wrong the Broncos played better and deserved to win. But there two really bad calls go against the patriots. The pass interference call was beyond pathetic. If anything the Bronco player pushed the defender. And on the interception return the Bronco player lost the ball and it should have been Patriot's ball at the 20. Two really bad calls gave the broncos the ball on the one yard line and gave Denver 2 easy TD's. But the Broncos deserved to win I just hope the referrees involved in those 2 plays have done their last game for the season.
If the Ravens can win a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer, then the Bears can win with Rex Grossman.
I agree.
It was!
Anyway, congratulations to the Broncos. It saddens me that the Patriots simply gave the game away.
This is a ch__ch. What's missing?
Not according to the rule book. Woodsen also hit him in the head that play as well which was supposed to be an automatic 15 yards. They missed the obvious one.
Fn right!
"But there two really bad calls go against the patriots."
Agree with the pass interference call, but no irrefutable evidence regarding the Bailey fumble. One could even argue that he broke the plane of the endzone and then fumbled. Hence, not a fumble.
Feel free to add an appropriate keyword, my friend!
Great game.
I wanted the Broncos to win but, got to hand it to NE, they don`t know what quit means.
They will be back
about 4 weeks ago, when Atlanta was playing New Orleans, Michael Vick went out of bounds at the one yard line, yet he managed to get the ball across the goal line, which encircles the globe, before being down. Shouldn't the same logic be applied to the fumble as well?
agree.
Pats got pounded???? That's a joke. What they did was give the game away and someone should be looking to see if Brady or Faulk had money on the Broncos. The refs made a bad call on the pass interferenc play but if Faulk doesn't lay it on the ground like a rookie then there's no way that other call is ever made. Brady made a stupid decision on the Bailey call.
Pounded is giving up 150 plus yards on the ground with a 4.0 average carry. Denver had under 100 yards with a 3.0 average. 25 of those yards came when they were running out the clock at the end. The Broncos passed for only 190 yards but gave up 330 along with 3 plays of 50 or better.
5 turnovers (3 fumbles) and 8 penalties is all you need to know.
You lost, now go cry in your chowdah.
No way did he cross the goal line before fumbling. The question was when the ball left his hands did it go out of bounds in front off or behind the pylon on the goal line. When the ball left his hands no part of his body was beyound the 1 yard line.
No. Michael Vick had possession as he went past the goal line.
