Want to gripe? Want to share? Want to brag? Need some care?
Then pull up your chair, get out your workbasket, and come tell us about it!

Also sew, mostly curtains, and if I buy curtains, I'll put my own trims on them.
I've made simple curtains, but nothing too complex.
I too have ripped out lots. Still do. Mostly abandoned projects that I know I will never finish, but that's life!

Well, I found a leather supply shop online called, "Brettuns Village." The folks there said they'd send me free samples with details and descriptions of all their products after I asked a couple of questions about leather to use for plaiting bullwhips.
THAT'S how you run a business!
These folks sell huge amounts cheap and they seem to go above and beyond for my business. I picked up my last purchase from Tandy Leather two days ago for my next whip project. Never going back again.
I'm currently working on a 12-plait, 10-foot Australian bullwhip and hope to be done in three to five days.
BTW, could you please add me to your ping list? Thanks.
Glad to!
Christmas Stocking patterns!

Am still happily churning out scarves for all the hapless victims who will get them for Christmas (LOL!). I may get brave and try one of those cute knitted purses to see if they are "cool" enough for our nieces.
I have started making some little socks for my niece in an old shale pattern.
It uses a multiple of 11, so I cast on 44 stitches in fingering yarn (she's still pretty little).
The leg of the sock is done this way:
Knitting in the round, k the first round.
next round:
(k2tog 2 times, yo, k1, yo, k1, yo k1, yo, k2 tog twice) around.
next three rounds, k all.
Repeat for desired length.
Finished them? I'm still picking out cool yarn while visions of Christmas projects dance through my head. ;)
Me! I finished the Shepherd's Bush set of four Nativitiy ornament designs. I am having it matted and framed, it will be displayed in my home for the Christmas season. My goal was to start and finish the other two ornaments, I might make that goal. However getting them framed will take place after Christmas...
love Shepherds Bush, good for you! can you by any chance link the design?
I have just finished my Christmas.... 8 quilts; 2 afghans; 12 kiddy stockings (felt stockings with Fosty on the girls; and the gingerbread man for the boys) the stockings are filled with goody things like games, coloring books, crayons, etc. NO CANDY....
The quilts and afghans are for the grownups....now to work on hubby's present...what to give him???? (thinking, thinking)
I am entirely impressed.
All I have completed are one set of baby socks.
I am working on a second pair of socks, these for a girl instead of a boy.
Thank You....its been a long year completing all of this...all the presents are out of State, so have to complete by the end of Nov to mail the First of Dec. to get there by Christmas....
Now I can start on next year...lolol...
happiness is going to your favorite needlework shop and finding they had just the book you were looking for.
Happiness is discovering that they actually make crochet hooks in size 16 (at that size, you use it with sewing weight threads like when trimming hankies)
Unhappiness is having the weather getting ready to change and your hand hurt enough you don't know if you're going to pick your needles up again for hours.
