WHAT IS THE WORST CAR?TRUCK?BIKE YOU HAVE EVER OWNED?
NOW | ME

Posted on 08/15/2005 9:46:21 AM PDT by TXBSAFH

Ok just for fun what is the absolutley worst POS you ever had to lower the property values of you house just by parking in front of it. For me it was my first truck, a 1974 toyota hilux truck. It leaked a quart of oil a week and had a average of $100 in repair cost a month until I sold it. It was blue, rust, primer, and bondo in color. Its nick names were Hirashima's revenge, and the toyota valdez.

Three days after I sold it to some poor unsuspecting fellow it caught fire and burne the the ground.

Wife had an 87 Hyundai Excel before we got married. Crap on wheels.

We also had an '88 Subaru wagon that was a great car except for the hideous engine-- a split-block, laterally-opposed hunk of leaky junk.

My truck was so bad that the local lawn nazi's (homeowners asso.) threatened to sue us for parking it in front of the house. The couldn't of course but they threatened.

You do know why they called that car an escort? It is because if a tow truck driver saw you drive by theyu would follow. Asured of getting some business soon when it died. Hence the escort. I refude to drive in any vehicle with the blue oval of shame on it.

1989 Mitsubishi Montero.

The thing had a "tilt-o-meter" .....and believe me, it needed it -- short wheelbase, narrow, and tall. Driving on two-wheels around sharp turns was the norm.

Before we were married, my wife owned a 1980-something Oldsmobile Cutlass with that god-awful 350 converted diesel engine. We considered it an abnormal condition when it would actually run.

My first car of my own was a 1984 Subaru Justy... which I got in 1992. Going uphill I had to get out and push (or at least it felt like it).

My worst car was a '73 Toyota Corolla.
Damn thing was a rust bucket from new, ate an entire exhaust system annually, and could be outrun by an energetic bicyclist unless the road was all downhill.

"Toy"ota is an apt name - next I got a "Real"-ota...

Remember in the 80's the toyota "Oh what a feeling" ad campaign. Everytime I hear that to this day my hemoroids twinge. Yeah it was a feeling alright!

1988 Yugo 65A.  Actually, I really like the car, but getting parts for it is difficult for some reason.
