Living with the language of liberals (Psudo Vanity)
today

In having to live with the language of liberals, which today is a nonstop barrage of half truths, twisted phrases, modified definitions, and PC doublespeak, Fellow FReepers could help build a definitive list and compendium of linguistic traps so anyone quickly can identify the offending language.
You can add single words and "liberal definitions", or common phrases with their "secret liberal meanings"
I don't believe there is any other place where this could be done with any depth or accuracy. Feel free to add as much as you like, and it could be turned into a Wiki eventually.
Post away! (and you can make it fun too!)
TOPICS: Education; Miscellaneous; Reference
KEYWORDS: buzzphrase; codewords; doublespeak; language; pc; twisted

Like
"moderate"On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being Karl Marx, 10 being Thomas Jefferson, a moderate is in reality, about a "2"
Try to find a book in any library titled "Famous Moderates"
/still searching...

Tolerance = intolerance of right thinking
Diversity=perversity, or how to make a melting pot into a chamber pot.
How about "Feelings", "Disturbing", "Brings up Questions" How 20 year olds can be "children"...
etc..etc...

The absolute worst: social justice. What it means in practice is, redistribution of wealth and property in the Stalinist style, with Stalinist results.

Raise consciousness. I have found this to be used in situations in which liberals have raised money for a cause and then pocketed the money. They then claim that their purpose was to "raise consciousness" of a certain problem or incident. I actually heard it used in reference to 9-11 fund raising.

Empowerment is always the one that gets to me. Women are now so "empowered" that you would be hard pressed to find a little girl these days who wants to grow up to be a wife and mommy. She now wants to be just like her daycare worker.
Celebrate diversity and "rainbow" are now about race and sexual issues. As far as I can tell, "fed up to here with this nonsense" still means what it used to...!

Lets not forget "Offended"
Where would we be if the left couldn't be offended by something every day...
