iPod 'Muff Dock' on back order
I chuckled several weeks ago when I first saw the iPod "Muff Dock," but I didn't initially think it merited a write-up. After all, despite its name, it's not a dock so much as a mere charger stand.
Now that I see the $19 "bean bag for your iPod" is temporarily out of stock in the pink fluffy version, however, it has me intrigued. The Muff Dock's "unique design allows you to use your existing power cord while keeping your iPod well supported in an upright comfy position," and "beans are included," according to the maker.
Evidently, there's been such a huge response to the fluffy Muff Dock, Muffpod.com has been busy clearing a backlog of orders. But "we should be back to normal by next week," a spokesperson wrote in an e-mail Tuesday. In the meantime, the dock is available in three other non-fluffy fabrics, or you can sign up for "Fluffmail," which will notify you when you can buy the fluffy version.
So what's driving demand? Perhaps is the provocative name. Or maybe iPod owners just want a comfy place their music player can call home. "Is it crazy that I really want one of these? Because I really do," wrote one reviewer on The Unoffical Apple Weblog.

Speaking of little Em, she could not reboot that 40 gig pod I told you about so we took it to Costco Sunday and they gave her a cash card refund and she bought one on the Costco website. It's a 60 gig model with color screen and iPhoto for $10.00 more than the refund for the 40 g... :o)
