Motorcycle Going 130 MPH Crashes On I-75

Thu May 26, 9:38 AM ET

Police said a motorcycle was going 130 mph just before it crashed on Interstate 75 overnight, seriously injuring the operator.

Shawn Baher, 32, is being treated at University Hospital.

Baker crashed about 3 a.m. on the southbound lanes at Paddock Road. The highway was closed for a few hours. An Arlington Heights officer was trying to pull over the motorcycle when it crashed, police said. Baher was charged with speeding and reckless operation.

At 130 mph, I'd've thought this guy would've been rendered into a fine pink mist.

He musta been wearing protective gear.... Either that, or his "serious injuries" most likely include an exterior weight loss, expressed as a fine pink mist.

In other news, Nicole Simpsone was seriously injured last night. Authorities want to question OJ, her estranged husband.

If you land properly and are wearing leathers you'll just kinda skip like a skipping stone on water. BTW, this info is useless without video. ;)

Not too far from me - I'll surf local web sites for more details like what this guy's IQ might be.

Sounds like seriously injured when crashing a bike at a buck-thirty might be what I would call an understatement.

"If you land properly and are wearing leathers you'll just kinda skip like a skipping stone on water."

That may be true so long as the path isn't blocked. That kinda messes up the skipping rock picture.

I've heard the purpose of the leathers is twofold:

--In a mild accident, it prevents skin scrapes.

--In a serious accident, it keeps the bones in one place, where doctors can find them.

Address him as:

You a stranger around these parts?

OR

Are you a stranger in parts?

OR

You have some stranger parts?
