HOUR 2
TRUE OR FALSE PROPHECIES- In the second hour of NBC's event series "Revelations," astrophysicist Dr. Richard Massey (Bill Pullman) and Sister Josepha (Natascha McElhone) are led deeper into a whirlwind of events that may signal the End of Days. With Satanist Isaiah Haden (Michael Massee) safely in prison, Dr. Massey attempts to return to his old life, only to be pulled out of it once more when he is asked to reconsider the possible source of messages that are transmitted by a young girl languishing in a coma that could be coming from his slain daughter, Lucy. Massey reluctantly agrees to meet with Eklind (Jesper Christensen), the man who is funding Sister Josepha's research, and together, Massey and Sister Jo embark on their investigation that begins with questioning the origin of a "miracle child"--a sole survivor of a shipwreck off Patmos, Greece. Tobin Bell, Mark Rendall and John Rhys-Davies also star. TV-14
It's a TV show. Big whoop.
Howzabout we start a Star Trek thread, too?
Ping!
I like this show and would welcome commenting on your thread about it...
Thank you very much.
I thought the first episode was spectacular.
Just a reminder, some of us live in the mountain and pacific time zones. Please hold your remarks that might ruin it for the rest of us until after we can see it.
I enjoyed the first hour and looked ahead all week to the 2nd. BTW, it is LOOSELY based on the Bible, so take it as a seperate story, not the Word of God.
Thank you for starting the live thread. I realize it is entertainment but would like to discuss the merits of the issues discussed as the mini series continues.
Maybe one day we can start a chat room for after show discussion??
In tonight's episode, we are told the good guy and the nun are going to a Sisters of Mercy convent. But the nuns ARE WEARING THE WRONG NUNSUITS! These nuns are dressed as Dominicans. Sisters of Mercy have a black veil (w/white trim) and dark blue habit (dress).
If we see the devil in this episode, I will let you know what he's wearing (what's WJC wearing today?) Oops, I think I just saw him wearing an orange jumpsuit.
I really like this show...I feel I did my Christian duty to non-Catholic Christians by reading all the Left Behind books (started good, fizzled out) so it's nice for us to have our own little end time play. "course, it IS all fiction! Glad you started this thread!
Also, in case you didn't know, the SciFi channel and CNBC (go figure!) show repeats of this show...I think I caught it about three times last week!
Another BIG hole in their plot theologically, from a Catholic persepctive. Unless the nun who carried this possible Christ Child was also immaculately conceived, this child CANNOT be Christ.
bump for later read
Isn't that what she said but no one believed her?
No, I mean the nun herself had to be immaculately conceived in order to bear the Christ Child.
Multiple donations to Clinton re-election.
tHANKS FOR THE PING.
Does the grandmother of the possible Christ Child also have to be immaculately conceived?
How about the great-grandmother and so on?
I think you have that backwards. If it is the Christ Child, then she would have been immaculately conceived.
Anyway, looks like there going for this being an antichrist child.

Last night showed a great example of those "liberal" who want the church to loosen the moral rules. During the Prison church service the "satanist" disrupted the service to tell the prisoner "Jesus" that his god(satan) "did not lover in spite of what he had done but loved him because of what he had done..."
Talk about moral relativism.
Show is getting more interesting with you wondering if the child found on the water is Christ or the Anti-Christ.
Also Satan seems to have a network of spies everywhere.
That is the question they are tring to anwser. her claim is that the baby was concived by the Holy Sprit in a cloister convent...no men at all...no outside contact....
