A Pro-Michael Guest on Larry King Sees tape of Terri Schindler for the first Time and changes her mind.
How could a person who came out of PVS, want to see Terri starved to death? That doesn't make sense.
I changed my mind too over the last few weeks.
A&E has a special on Terri S. S. tonight. It ran earlier and I missed it so I don't know what side it comes down on but I think it runs at the top of the hour or next hour.
I've been reading posts on forums all over the Internet. There are still people saying things like she was in a car crash and that' how she is brain-damaged. And they should "unplug her from life support." Misinformation is still rampant.
And did you see the clip of Jeb saying he can't do one thing more? His demeanor, kind of smiling and shruggy, really dis-impressed me. He said people (who want him to do something more) are thinking with their hearts. So it sounds like, to him, it's not even close.
I don't know the law. Maybe he's right. But a lot of people have sure made the case that he's absolutely entitled to rescue that poor woman.
So, no flames from me. Tonight, Larry King has REMARKABLE guests, including that woman who RECOVERED from persistent vegetative state, and who had favored Michael -- but right there, on the show, changed her mind, and says Terri should live.
Also the amazing Joni Tada, who is just a super woman (and a quadriplegic).
It looks as if it could be a terrific show. It just makes me too sick and angry.
That's the problem, most Americans don't know the full story at all -- just what they've been spoon-fed.

Politicians HATE this kind of thing. They HATE to have to make a stand.
I'm sure they're hoping she dies so this thing will just go away and the people will forget over time. (and they will)
Ive been asked again and again and again "would you want to live like that?" My answer is no but it also isn't the issue. The issue is that a woman has been condemned to death based on hearsay from a "husband" who remembered Terri's wishes only after he began having children with another woman.
I think we're witnessing the end of the Bush family's 'dynasty' in politics. I no longer trust any of them. They are now nothing more than craven politicians in my eyes.
Sorry, let me try again.
1. She had herself been in a PVS, and had recovered from it.
2. She was announced as favoring Michael's position (no more feeding, "let" Terri die).
3. On the show, after seeing footage of Terri, she changed her mind, said Terri should be fed, should live.

LKL has a couple of survivors of horrendous brain insults, like Terri's and they have recovered.
Maybe LK is trying to recover from his gaffe the other night, when a woman caller asked Schiavo about his common law wife and LK interrupted and said that Terri and Michael were not common law , in fact they were married for 20 years.
BTW, LK just showed the video of an early Terri, with Schiavo at a pond and she is clearly swallowing.
That's how it strikes me. Delay, delay, delay, and she's drying up and dying. It so angers and sickens me.

Don't be fooled by polls or the MSM spin. The polls all ask loaded questions or ask questions that are so leading as to be laughable. Even the Fox poll was silly. It asked questions about what the responder would want done if they were in a coma, then they ask about Terri. Terri is not in a coma. At least present the facts of this case in a somewhat accurate manner when polling people.
My wife, my mother, my fater, none of them realized the nature of Terri's condition. Each of them thought she was in a coma. In addition, none of them realized Terri had not left a written living will and the Courts decisions were based upon heresay. It boggles the mind how quickly they changed their minds when they learned these facts.
The MSM and the Left are trying to slip this one under the radar. It is the "how can we fool em today" technique all over again. Add some fake memos and accuse the other side of playing politics and the Left is just hitting the same lows they hit during last year's election all over again.
Well, if shown the truth it isn't surprising people would be open minded enough to change their minds. Too bad the MSM has lied repeatedly. from what I've heard, though, Larry has been reportedly more kind to Terri's side than his contemporaries.
I thank Those that have done what they could to try to save her life. Jeb Bush, Congress & House. The President. Especially her family.
No. I'm saying it makes no sense, and I don't believe she ever really favored Michael's position.

Free Republic has been a huge factor in my change of mind.
To me, everyone who asks, "Would you want to live 'LIKE THAT'?" is really saying that disabled people are better off dead, or that they wish disabled people were dead.
Oh, okay. Well < shrug > I'm sure LKL had tried to get a pro-MS guest, to be "balanced."
