"We drop quite a few red herrings of course...always leave the door open to blame it all on rightist plotters. Besides, enigmatic assassinations are more upsetting, somehow."

Part of the "culture" scene in Boulder used to be the radical anarchist writer named William Burroughs. If you are hunting Boulder anarchists, this is the ideological grandpappy of them all.

He was a lot like Ward Churchill in his views and aggressiveness. He died in Spring 1997 in Lawrence Kansas. AIM lawyer Lee Hill was his lawyer. What a surprise. Lawrence is where the headquarters of the LPDC [Leonard Peltier Defense Committee] was headquartered. Ward Churchill and Lee Hill were big in that. Lee Hill was Peltier's lawyer, too.

Burroughs was a heroin addict and wrote revolutionary tracts that advocated killing and raping just about everybody. Burroughs "accidentally" shot his wife in the middle of her forehead. He told the police that he was playing "William Tell" to impress his friends with his marksmanship and missed the apple on his wife's head.

This happened in Mexico, so he jumped bail and ran off to North Africa for a while. Probably he hooked up with radical nationalists there. Who knows. This was many decades ago. Maybe 50-60 years ago.

Here are some links. See especially the first link called "The Revised Boyscout Manual." Burroughs is disgusting, but I studied his sickening psychopathic rants for their insight into the radical anarchist trends in Boulder.

He liked carrying weapons and had a big collection of all kinds of weapons. His favorite was a walking stick with a sword in it.

The first link is to his "Revised Boyscout Manual." This is an anarchistic program which involves killing random people, rich people, raping girls, and using young boys, the "scouts" to create chaos/anarchy.

The other links are to pages with various links to Burroughs' stuff.

He is totally disgusting. Lee Hill sometimes would write about him and seems to have studied under him. You may think this document is just plain stupid, but this is actually an important American anarchist tract. They really think like this, I assure you. Burroughs was Ward Churchill before there was Ward Churchill.

Burroughs also did a one-man reading where he pretended to be this famous Muslim terrorist called Hassan Sabbah. He was the guy who lived in the mountains of Persia/Tazhikistan and could order people killed in Paris.

His group were called "the Assassins." I think this is from hashish--grass in Arabic. He lived in Medieval times and was just like Bin Laden. Burroughs pretends to be Hassan Sabbah and issues fatwahs against Coke, etc. I have the record. Totally sick.

One of the characters in a Burroughs' is named "Lee" by the way. I think that novel is called "Junkie." And then there is a story called "Junkie's Christmas." Doesn't have a happy ending.

After JonBenet died, some kids at Naropa College summer program did a parody about her death based on some Burroughs' "science" belief. Burroughs believed in some sort of clap-trap science about a "blue light." Some quack scientist named Dr. Willhelm Reich had made some box called an "Orgone Accumulator." You sit in and get some sort of cosmic vibes. I forget the details about this, but the scientist ended up in prison for selling it. Burroughs was a big defender of this stupid box. Naropa is big into the beat writers and Burroughs used to work there some in the summer when he was old.

I used to have a lot about this, but a few years ago my house was robbed and they stole my old laptop.

Before I really saw what Lee Hill was doing in relation to AIM, I though this Burroughs' ideology might have inspired the killer. I think he did play a role of brainwashing young anarchists into the movement like Ward Churchill probably does now.

I swear this is all true. I could never make it up. It sounds totally retarded, but they think it is really cool.

Wow, that must be the least profane thing Burroughs ever wrote. He is usually much much nastier.

Well, I think this is an excerpt.
