I can understand the government doesn't want to do this because it could be seen as atacking the muslims and not the terrorists, but wouldn't the security of Americans be a bigger deal.

If this were the case it would take away all incentive for the terrorists to blow themselves up and conduct suicide attacks.

This has been addressed here multiple times in the past. The Pershing story is apparently BS. The idea of polluting the moslem corpse with pig stuff is meaningless because it would be involuntary and therefore no sin on the part of the murderer. (Which tells you about the moral priorities of the moslem savages.)

You aren't suppose to commit suicide according to Islam either but that doesn't stop suicide bombers. The Koran doesn't give any exception to this, not even Jihad. The pseudo religious Muslim political leaders will just change things to benefit their political goals. If we start burying dead terrorist with pigs or anything else like that it will just be taught that it's okay as long as it's done during Jihad.
