I've had several conversations with posters about good beers and I tried a new one (for me) last night ... and it was fantastic.
I picked up a 6-pack of a beer named Stella Artois which is a premium lager. It is brewed in Leuven, Belgium and claims to date back to the year 1366. The beer was incredibly smooth and delicious. While their politics may be messed up, those Europeans sure know what they are doing when it comes to beer.
I have bad memories associated with Corona, which I served to many a drunken frat boy when I was working my way through college as a waitress in the 1980's. I've always prefered heavier beers, or at least ambers.
But I agree, the commercials for Corona are genius.
Try Tecate and lime over ice in a salted glass. Great in summer.
Yes, I love the Corona beach commercials, especially the one where the couple turns a volleyball net into a hammock.
..
I had a couple of Shiner Blondes (lager) the other night along with another Shiner Bock. The Bock is good, but the Blonde is great!
Guess I'll try a 6-pack.
