Why are coffeehouses over-run with DemocRATS?!?!? (Mod sets bongo aside, zots troll)

Posted on 12/14/2004 11:14:29 AM PST by CarolinaGOPer

I live in a college town in North Carolina, and recently I went into a coffee shop to innocently purchase a cup of coffee. What I instead found was a veritable den of sin, filled with Marxists and DemocRATS. To wit:

-The entire place stunk of patchoulli -Patrons were reading 'Tropic of Cancer', 'The Communist Manifesto', and 'Stupid White Men' -- titles that I would never want my good G*d-fearing children getting a hippie's length away from (of course, not a Bible to be found) -Two women were kissing (of course, I could only tell they were women upon further inspection, if you catch my drift; they seemed to be wearing very comfortable shoes) -Someone was actually playing *bongos* in the corner -The combined annual income of the patrons was less than what I paid for my car

Why is it, dear Freepers, that coffeehouses are controlled by these liberals? Why can't family-loving, G*d-fearing, red-blooded Americans simply get a cup of coffee without having our values completely desecrated?!? Are there any conservative coffeehouses, where this ridicuolousness is not tolerated?

You want good coffee, try this:

In 12 cup drip percolator pot, fill to 6 cup mark with water.
In filter, put 6 heaping scoops of coffee.
Medium roast works best, just make sure it's a robust blend.
Found a maxwellhouse 'medium roast' that was rather anemic.
Put pinch of salt in filter, about as much as it would take to cover the surface of a dime with one even layer.
This keeps the coffee from tasting burned too quickly, it doesn't age well brewed this way.

Brew, recirculate if need be, usually not.
Add sugar and dairy creamer.
Creamora and coffeemate are not recommended unless you like the heart racing that Ranger Pudding gives.
That, and the nondairy creamer will give you both a headache and a buzz with the coffee.
One thing not mentioned was that they did use non-dairy creamer.

I usually put about 8 spoons of sugar in this stuff, it ends up being like Russian Kava, thick and sweet with that bitter overtone to it.

Oh, and I am NOT responsible for seeming demonic possession of the coffeepot, or the coffeepot ending up acting as if it has been damaged.

Be sure NOT to add creamora or coffeemate to the brew, unless you LIKE ranger pudding style heart racing.
When I brew that stuff for myself, I recirculate the stuff to brew a second time, but that's me for my own personal enjoyment, and it may wreck the coffeepot.
Don't forget the salt, it's important to the finished brew.

Testimonials:

"Switch to decaf? I'm switchin' to crank f[Censored!]s!!!"

"AUUUuuuuuuuuugh! I'm Blind! *unintelligible grunting, growling and screaming* Good stuff!"

"WHAT was in this again?"

The combined annual income of the patrons was less than what I paid for my car... I'm in Graduate School.

A rich elitist grad student, if so.

Because they're the type of people who are willing and feel they have the time to spend three bucks on a cup of frothy milk lightly scented with a bit of overcooked coffee beans. Appearance vs. substance is an ongoing theme on so many levels with leftists. Same reason you see them hanging for hours in Borders Books. They've really got nothing better (that they can think of) to do.

What was your old handle?

I go to Starbucks in Austin just to tear the announcements for Sheryl Crow and Willie Nelson concerts off the entry door.

AH HA!! Willie Nelson, the leftover hippie - in Austin. At least he has plenty of liberal company here.

Perhaps it is also the fact at Starbucks they always has todays New York Times paper? Plus they have whatever is the local paper. The New York Times once a respected paper over 40 years ago is nothing more than a Socialist rag.

I stay out of Dunkies as much as possible. I like my Green Mountain Roasters coffee, and don't want to inflate beyond what I have already.

The people I know who like Dunkies coffee are all severely addicted and will run at 10:00 at night. They all HAVE to have their dunkin donuts fix.
