O.k., I'm new at the horse thing. About all I know how to do is feed them, which is about all I get to do right now. I've ridden some when I was a kid, and now own three horses with two on the way. If and when I get through building the house / barn, etc., I'll get around to riding.

I have a horse pasture in the California foothills 50 miles
east of Sacramento. Anyone have any experience with horses
eating acorns? It's a big problem here because we've had drought conditions and all the grass has been eaten off the
pasture.

OH MY GOD!!! I love this site. I've been a horse lover since I was a little girl...just ask my mom!!

I hope that folks, such as myself, who knows nothing about horses can join in and ask stupid questions. I hope to retire to the country where I can finally buy my dream....a horse. I know nothing about what to look for or how to properly care for them, but I sure envy all of you and the lifestyle you lead. You are all very blessed. Liberty Lass
