Hope everyone had a good weekend. Here in Houston, we hosted a Freeper party on Saturday as the Jim Robinson tour paid us a visit. The party went well, aided by live thread, live food (crawfish, at least until it was cooked), and web cam. We are all partied out. Time to go back to work.

Kitty also had a good time at party. These pictures prove it.

No Cooking Necessary, Like My Food Fresh.

Temperature is 95 F; Go Ahead, Squirt Me Human !!

We have a black cat who's been indulging in a little bird-catching this week, too...

Great pics, as always. Cheers!

Great pictures. I have an 18-pound Hemingway that completely fills up my bathroom sink. He sort of hangs over the counter and waits for one of the other unsuspecting cats to walk by.

We make those bathroom basins the purrfect place for kitty to sleep! In my cat owning days I used to fit two at a time in the basin.

I have many bird feeders in my backyard and I've been visited by flocks of gold finches, oregon juncos, and red-winged black birds.

My orange VK, Tomas, has been outside at the same time as the birds, but the birds know they're purrfectly safe since he can't get his 24 pounds moving toward them quickly enough to get one. I think I heard the juncos laughing at him yesterday.

Cat Owner with Bird Feeder = Conflict of Interest

Or really good kitty TV!

Tomas only goes into the backyard supervised; there are too many predators around to let him roam. It is a bit of a problem when the birds are nesting, because I need to make sure they're safe from my kitties, but so far both birds and cats peacefully coexist. I think the birds know "Fat Boy" is no threat.

Do all tortoiseshell cats look alike then? I was thinking the same thing when I saw the picture. The one at my house is named H.K.Troublemaker, and she's about to turn one. Who's yours? - and who is in the picture?

My cat's name is Cali. I don't know who the one in the photo is. :]

Cali has a classic torti face with a solid orange streak running down the length of her nose. She has pretty yellow eyes, too.

We have 5 baby fur-babies at our house and a mama fur-baby, too. This one makes me think of them. They are just starting to play (- fight) with each other. They seem to lay on each other and what ever is close to a mouth - an ear, a paw, a tail, a tummy, gets bitten! They are maturing so quickly, but each at a different rate! If someone gets pushed off of the mama's tit, then the one pushed off does a windmill on it's sibling, usually on the face or top of it's head. And they don't pull their sharp little claws in yet! I watched one run for 2 gallops one day, then run for about 4 gallops the next day.

(Notice how he talks to his cat like the cat is just as important as the people. We cat people are something aren't we?)

A study of animal behavior will prove that animals' intellects increase when talked to....depending, of course, on the intellect of the person who's talking.
