Candace Owens has wagered her career that French President Emmanuel Macron's wife was born a man.
The controversial conservative commentator took to X to tout the false theory, hours after outlining it on an episode of her podcast.
It goes that French First Lady Brigitte Macron, 70, was actually born Jean-Michel Trogneux, before eventually transitioning at age 30.

Big if true.. but I don’t understand why this would be the thing an American political commentator would be so ovsessed with, especially with so many dozens of domestic stories to pursue.
She is also leaning very heavily into this supposed absence of evidence that the perspn existed before age 30, but unless she is really confident in researching french language resources and doing investigative journalism in france, I would be very careful assuming that I had all the information.

If you watch the video, Candace actually makes a very good point. I’m not saying she’s correct, but, as usual, she’s done her homework.
BTW, I didn’t see any part where Candace said that she would bet her career on this.
