I realize decent people are not in charge. My question is why would you work for an indecent person?

It’s like the whistle blower laws, that you can’t be fired if you snitch, particularly if your employer is engaged in an illegal activity. Why would you want to work for a criminal? If the employer is penalized, it is still likely that they are the same worm they were before. Why would anyone want to remain in an unethical environment? It’s akin to working for a drug dealer or pimp. Why do that?

The person who won’t supply a break is someone not worth working for. Your existence would be a misery under such a tyrant.

Some will argue they need the job or the money. That same argument can be extended to why someone is a criminal.

The problem becomes the choices for good and fair employers diminish and thus choices to change go away.
