I have seen an alleged transcript of the interview.
If it was faked, it’s a very good fake because Putin’s phrasings are consistent with previous Q&A and in a subtle way, not just copy and pasting from his previous talks.
There was a do you have cancer question and the reply was — I can assure you I do not have it. If I had cancer and beat it, I would share the happy news with the world and certainly whatever the cure was that achieved it.
There was a question about plans to join with China against the US. The reply: I have an excellent relationship with Xi and we do not think in terms of the US being our military enemy. We do not think of BRICS as something we consciously created to be an opponent. In all things economic there naturally evolves counter influence to any sort of monopoly.
Do you think you have some personal popularity in the west? Reply: I personally do not. I think Russian traditional values have some attraction in the west. We believe in marriage being between a man and a woman and that men are men and women are women. But no, not me personally.
What do you think of Trump? Reply: I do not want to get into US domestic politics questions. When Trump was president I had good communications with him. I have not heard from President Biden since a congratulations phone call in 2021 about his election. None? You have not spoken since then? No, I have not spoken to President Biden since then. I think that there would be immediate communications with a President Trump. He has said he could end the war in Ukraine. I would be in favor of that.
They sure are bent out of shape about this interview.
Oh, I don’t think they’ve backed off. There is probably still a lot of scheming about how to “punish” Carlson, without getting the broader population getting into an uproar.
I draw a small amount of pleasure knowing that bitch will die miserable for losing to Trump.

And what makes it even more, shall we say, interesting is that Hillary knows it’s her fault she lost. Had the Democrats cheated just a little bit more in a few key states, she would have “won”.

Quick story: Back in 2016 a liberal guy I know went to his local D headquarters to pick up some Hillary signs for his front yard. He was told they were $5 apiece. My friend declined to buy any.

However, I am sure at some point I will probably sit down and watch it... do I expect to really LEARN anything major from it? Not really, Putin isn’t going to let anything he doesn’t want out out.
The fact Tucker went and had an interview with Putin neither improves or declines my general opinion of him.
I don’t know what his reasoning to do it was, because he has to have known Putin and the handlers in Russia were never going to let anything that they could remotely consider damaging get out there.

Russia was willing to negotiate peace early in the war but we stopped Ukraine. All the money send to Ukraine is to send 20% back to the democrats to keep them in power. We are responsible for thousands of needless deaths. The sooner Ukraine surrenders the better for everyone, especially for the Ukraine people who are being forced to send 14 year old boys to combat. I read an alleged transcript and it looks real. I saw nothing new from Putin’s answers. What one might see is simply Putin’s answers, which generally are suppressed by our media. Rather than articles of Putin thought this and Putin intends that, this is a presentation of his answers without media telepathy.
The only thing I saw in the transcript that might be orchestrated was pushing buttons about Russians believe marriage is between a man and a woman and men are men and women are women. That would be red meat to our MSM.
Note also that there were not many Ukraine questions. I somewhat suspected this. Russia is not hyper focused on it.
