Knittnmom collapsed Saturday evening with what she thought were severe back spasms. The pain was bad enough she was screaming, and my mother NEVER screams!
We took her to the hospital, where a CAT scan revealed bleeding from her descending aorta. More scans showed an aneurysm right where the aorta connects to the heart, and some kind of problem with one of her heart valves. While they were trying to get the different teams coordinated so they could do surgery, she suffered a minor stroke. Surgery is being put off while they figure out what needs done and in what order, and while they try and get her stabilized.
If that wasn't enough, this afternoon she had a weird reaction to one of the medications.
Doctors still sound optimistic but things keep happening that they don't expect, so I'm not sure how reliable that is. It keeps getting more and more terrifying.

GOD, Who hears our prayers and answers our prayers, thank You for Your only Son JESUS Who won the victory over sin and death. By His stripes we were healed.
Hear our prayers for Ellendra’s mother Knittnmom. Give the doctors wisdom on how to repair the aneurysm where the aorta connects to the heart and the problem with one of her heart valves.
Give Knittnmom full recovery from the stroke she suffered.
In the name of JESUS we bind fear in Ellendra, Knittnmom, and her family. May they cast their cares upon You. You will never leave or forsake them. Give them rest and peace.
May Your Will be done in Knittmom. You know the plans You have for her - plans for good and not for evil to give her a future and a hope.
In JESUS’ Name we pray. AMEN.

Jesus, take Knittnmom into your care and guide her medical staff to the right diagnosis and order of care. Let her become peaceful as you take over. Station angels around her room to guard against any new attacks.
