People, you have to understand the world of gas and oil. You just have to, and that doesn’t happen by reading what some guru says about something.
Go get the raw data, and make damn sure, in the world of gas, that you have cubic meters, not cubic feet. The difference is enormous and when people want to punch the air and indulge in enthusiasm, they will go with cubic feet and really big numbers.
US natural gas reserves . . . 12.8 trillion cubic meters. Look it up.
US nat gas consumption . . . about 950 billion cubic meters per year.
Don’t kneejerk conclude that people who want to restrict exports are crazy.
Yes, more will be found. Well, not found. Natgas is generally not profitable to produce unless it is accompanied by hydrocarbon liquids — which pay the bills. So finding it means you have to find liquids.
Those have already been found.
Especially with the new world of marine drones.
