The Washington Post in an outrageous article: "The displacement of the largest population in the region since 1948." One of the most important newspapers in the world published a comprehensive article about the human tragedy in the Gaza Strip, but received a lot of criticism • Many criticized the text chosen, with great historical inaccuracy • For comparison, in the wars in Syria, Yemen and Afghanistan a much larger population was displaced • The article completely ignores the use Hamas's cynicism towards the civilian population, and the events of the October 7 massacre. N12 | 23.12.23

The Washington Post newspaper succeeded last night (Friday) in provoking the anger of many in Israel and in the world in general, after publishing an article with a significant historical inaccuracy. "Nearly 1.9 million people, approximately 85% of the population of Gaza, were displaced from their homes, the largest population transfer in the region since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948," reads the opening of the article, and this was also the text published in the article's "push" message.

The article extensively reviews the human tragedy occurring in the Gaza Strip as a result of the war between the IDF and Hamas following the October 7 massacre, after the IDF proactively and deliberately called on the civilian population to leave their homes to avoid harm to their lives. Although this is a comprehensive and extensive article, it does not mention at all the fact that the terrorist organization Hamas bases its entire war strategy against the IDF on the cynical exploitation of the civilian population in Gaza. The article does not mention at all the fact that Hamas has placed large terrorist infrastructures in civilian sites, including schools, hospitals And also civilian homes, including the storage of amlach in children's and toddlers' bedrooms.

Many surfers expressed great shock and criticism over the Washington Post's article and wording, and wondered about the concept of "the zone". For example, many have emphasized that as a result of the war in Syria, a country that by all accounts is "in the region", more than 13 million people (according to UN data) have been forced to leave their homes. In Syria or about the war in Yemen, how the hell does this lie get published?", wrote Nadav Pollak, a researcher at Reichman University.

In addition to the difficult civil war that was and is still going on in Syria, there have been several other very difficult wars in recent years, which have resulted in the forced transfer of a much larger population than the current transfer of the population in Gaza. Also, according to UN data, more than 4.5 million people were forced to leave their homes in the civil war in Yemen, and more than 3.2 million were forced to leave their homes in the war in Afghanistan.

Along with the ignoring of the authors of the article about the cynical use that Hamas terrorists make of the civilian population in Gaza, there is also a complete ignoring of the terrible massacre of Israeli citizens on October 7. Alongside the important report on the great distress of the residents in the Gaza Strip, it is evident that it comes completely detached from the wider context of the events.

The Washington Post reporter's tweet has since been deleted.

John Hudson, a senior reporter for the Washington Post, tweeted the link to the article yesterday, and attached the text that appears at the beginning of the article, about "the largest population transfer in the region since 1948", and was heavily criticized online. Shortly after, he deleted the tweet, apparently after realizing it was a significant inaccuracy.

Hamas stooges Júlia Ledur, Aaron Steckelberg, Sammy Westfall, Loay Ayyoub, Hajar Harb and John Hudson published this Goebbels-fest in the Pest.

In addition to working full-time for Hamas, these anti-Semitic stooges work part-time for The Washington POSt.

Are the millions of Germans expelled from East Prussia and Eastern Europe after WW2 still considered ‘refugees’ like Fakestinians? Why not?

Yes. The Germans resettled, rebuilt their lives and moved on. The Palis could have done the same. Then there are the Jews that were expelled from the Arab countries after 1948. No one cried for them.

Can’t imagine why they’ve been kicked out of all the lands they’ve ever pitched a tent in.

Facts are irrelevant. Only the narrative matters.
