The Most Powerful Republican in America Has a 6% Approval Rating
Citizen Watch Report ^ | Chris Black

Little known fact: no one is responsible for anything in a democracy (no one knows where the buck stops), and therefore it breeds corruption.

The way the American system is set up, even a good leader can’t ever get more than a 50% approval rating.

That’s been the case since George W. Bush got 90% after starting wars as revenge for 9/11.

As a public service, I’ll post that the article is talking about Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (something that probably should have been in the description).

Thank you... I agree. I am personally getting tired of these click bait hooks. And it is loaded with hidden Google 3rd party spyware. I wish folks would figure out you DO NOT need Google services on a website at all. It will actually work WITHOUT Google.

Spyware there:

…googlesyndication.com
…googletagmanager.com

It would have helped. Very misleading headline, perhaps by design.

The point of clickbait is to get you to click.

That’s why, when I post an article, I have my excerpt be the actual point, rather than the teaser first paragraph.

I wish more FR posters would do that.

Thank that most powerful man for everything still good and decent in this country.

Anything?

Let me think: In this rapidly decaying country, is anything good and decent still holding strong thanks to him...

God is telling us something but many choose not to listen and we get the consequences, freely and bountifully.

I moved from Seattle to Kentucky back in 2011. I like to tell people that I moved from a state where my vote made no difference to another state where my vote makes no difference, but for the opposite reason. 😎

But, that being said, I felt like I was in Seattle when Bevin lost to the turtle a while back, and then he lost to Beshear for the governorship, and then Beshear won again this year.

But the rest of them are no contest. We’re a heavily republican state with a relatively powerless Democrat governor. In fact, it’s to the point where any veto he attempts can be relatively easily overridden.

What everyone forgets, in the next 4 years, all these aging politicians from Hillary, The Donald, Biden, et al, will be gone. Off the planet and taking permanent dirt naps. Look at their ages! I’ve been looking at all their hype, who’s next in line, Cuomo, Newsom, KamelHo?

He only needs 51% of the people in Kentucky to like him and he seems to have that on a regular bases

There are few click vampires on FR, including oldeconomybuyer, chicagoconservative, etc. I have wondered about those who feel it is necessary to get clicks. The folks who want clicks to get paid are certainly understandable, although annoying, but what makes folks want to elicit clicks even though the articles are false, stupid, or both? I used to believe it was to draw attention to the stupidity that lurks among our folks, but we are inundated by it.

Thank you. I went to the site, got a bunch of pop-ups, and then it looked like it was directed me to some other scam site. Thanks for getting to the bottom line.

I doubt McConnell even cares what his approval rating is. He and his establishment buddies are perfectly happy to play the role of losers so long as they continue to receive money and the perks that go along with remaining in office.

Only about half of Republicans give a damn about representing their constituents.

Unfortunately, the most recent election for an office matters more than today’s polls; and we cannot make up new elections just when the polls suggest an incumbent is no longer popular. If we did we could have nonstop elections.
