Bosnia, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Afghanistan, Panama, Syria, Niger, Yemen have entered the chat.....
b) Afghanistan had two phases: i) we aided the Afghans against the Soviets; ii) Afghanistan was a cobelligerent with al Qaida against the US.
c) Niger was always the preserve of the French;
d) In Yemen the Houthis were sponsored by the Iranians and the war was conducted by the Saudis (not us) and the local government against the Houthis;
e) Libya was started by the French and British.
f) Bosnia was an outgrowth of Germany's decision to recognize Croatia's independence for domestic political reasons despite the US warning the Germans that doing so would provoke a civil war. The US was dragged kicking and screaming into that conflict.
No matter what cases you cite, the US (unlike Russia) has not annexed any territory by force since the Spanish American War, with the exception of former Japanese colonies handed over in trust after WWII.
The moral equivalency argument stinks as badly now as it did in the 80s.
