Impeachment is the indictment; then the House managers present the evidence, and the Senate determines guilt. So, it’s rather unusual for these four senators to say they are “against” impeachment when the evidence has not been formally presented.

There are those who prefer a wounded Joe Biden in 2024 to a impeached Joe Biden and an energized Democratic Party for Harris or Newsom. I can see their reasoning but prefer they do their sworn duty instead.

They impeached Donald Trump because he didn't tell the protesters at the capitol to stop for 86 minutes! Do they think that being ‘civil’ is going to change the behavior of the idiot Democrats? This is war, people, and you have to have the guts to punch back. The aggressor sets the rules of engagement. The justification for impeachment has NEVER been so righteous.

earlier I seen a meme displaying the banner of a hammer and sickle with the words democrat party. next to that were the words republican party beneath a white flag. how fitting?
To: Macho MAGA Man
Today’s Democrats engage in bare-knuckles boxing. No rules and no quarter. They strike at their opponents until they are bleeding and unconscious on the mat. Then they throw in a few kicks for good measure.
With only few exceptions, today’s Republicans just write letters. They express their displeasure using soft and indirect words.
It’s not hard to predict which side will ultimately prevail here.

The "crazy" argument is that we shouldn't have an "inquiry" or "investigation" because there is no "proof" as the Democrats say.
That's the point of an investigation, to find the proof when there is suspicious activity.
That's like telling a fireman who sees smoke not to pull the alarm because there is no "proof" of a fire.
They will never find that for which they choose not to look.

Exactly. It’s up to the House to impeach. If they believe there’s insufficient evidence to convict then they’ll have their chance to vote.

Timing is the issue. The first impeachment was 2018. More than two years before the presidential election. The second was after the election. Last thing we want is to make Biden a martyr. Clinton’s approval numbers went up after his impeachment.

I understand the reasoning too, but I disagree with the assumption that impeachment would energize the Democratic Party. With the level of evidence that’s accumulating, it would more likely hurt the party than help it.
