Today is D-Day. We all know its significance.
Here is DeSantis' message on Twitter: "On the anniversary of D-Day, we remember the brave men who gave their lives to protect our nation against great evil."
Here is Trump's message on Truth Social: "ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!! Don't let it happen." And, "They are going after me as RETRIBUTION for the Republicans in Congress going after them. The difference is, they have created major crimes, I have created none!"
TheVeruca,
No, what makes you swamp is you believing Biden got 81,000,000 voters in the stolen election..
You expecting Trump to do what YOU want on YOUR schedule is just plain ole Veruca Saltlike..
Keep shouting into the wind. Keep making excuses for your savior. And don’t worry when he loses yet another election. You are still free to shout “THEY CHEATED!” while stomping your feet and holding your breath.
Veruca,
My Savior isn’t Trump.
And I expect your Swamp to cheat.
Keep making excuses for your swamp.
But I don’t expect your R and D co owned swamp to stay forever.
I expect it to take a major L eventually.
And it will be quite the Day..
I think we can see who pays homage to the heroes of WW2 and who cannot take even one minute to stop making everything about himself.
Obviously you didn’t see his speech and note who he spoke about it was a salute to those who gave.
Maybe give it a rest and write about it -after- June 6.
You’re assuming President Trump will not post anything about D-Day.
You’re using D-Day as a wedge issue before the day is even over.
Yep, see if they show up.
You complain about the infighting in your first post and then you give an atta boy to the thread starter who is doing exactly that.
Have some self awareness.
not sure how you come to that conclusion, but you have a nice day.
In B4 the JR thread zot.
I posted Trump’s Memorial Day Truth Social message.
The thread was actually pulled by Robinson himself as “TDS”.
"I believe a President who professes to love this nation should send a D-Day message first thing, as Europe is several hours ahead of the US and the dawn has already broken on the cliffs of Normandy by the time we wake up."
I have expressed my thoughts on this already. He may very well issue a statement at some point today, and it won't mean much at that point.
We are all here at the pleasure of JR. He may pull, ZOT, ban, and suspend as he sees fit.
You've been here long enough to know the infighting amongst Freepers has always been at the direction of JR himself. And God forbid you should be on the wrong side of what JR thinks.
Why would it not mean much?
And, as I've already said, D-Day is now almost over in Europe (where it actually occurred) so the moment to pay respect is already gone. IMHO, of course.
Paying Homage is a personal choice and also a very personal generation of true feelings regarding the affair.
Making public statements regards the significance of the day is a fine line between homage and virtue signaling.
Well the US did “release the kraken” on Germany on June 6...oh never mind. /s
“You’ve been here long enough to know the infighting amongst Freepers has always been at the direction of JR himself. And God forbid you should be on the wrong side of what JR thinks.”
This sums it all up nicely.
.
The usual smear job.
Former President Donald Trump on Monday issued a message to commemorate Memorial Day and to warn against “terrorists, misfits and lunatic thugs.”
Trump wrote in a statement on his social media platform Truth Social: “Happy Memorial Day to all, but especially to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the country they love, and to those in line of a very different, but equally dangerous fire, stopping the threats of the terrorists, misfits and lunatic thugs who are working feverishly from within to overturn and destroy our once great country, which has never been in greater peril than it is right now. We must stop the communists, Marxists and fascist ‘pigs’ at every turn and, make America great again!”
Trump also posted a Memorial Day video featuring images of him honoring the fallen at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as well as at Arlington National Cemetery.
“Here on this soil, on these grounds, beneath those fields, lies the true source of American Greatness, of American glory, and of American freedom,” Trump narrated.
“As long as we are blessed with patriots such as these, we shall forever remain one people, one family, and one nation under God,” he added.
Also, "Happy Memorial Day" is a stupid thing to say no matter who says it. It's a day to honor dead soldiers.
