A very DRAMATIC carjacking notable for two reasons. One because one of the vehicles carjacked was a Tesla and, more importantly, this carjacking and police chase which involved all three South Florida counties of Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach terminated right near where I live. This happened a few days ago and had I decided to go to nearby Big Daddy's for a liquor pickup or to eat in the adjoining Flanigan's, I could have been the one carjacked on the way home.A very DRAMATIC carjacking notable for two reasons. Oh, and was that cop lifting the perp and carrying him about forty yards performing this as some sort of weight training program? Oh, and was that cop lifting the perp and carrying him about forty yards performing this as some sort of weight training program?
Insert your EV carjacking jokes below.....
PING!
One would think Tesla, with all of it’s electronic wizardry, would install some sort of electronic fail-safe in case of theft, one that even the cops could activate.

I prefer Florida man, alligator jokes.

I really don’t think you want the cops to have that control over your vehicle.
I wonder if the car could be shut off with the Tesla phone app..
That police dog wanted a bite.
The video would be more entertaining if they let the police dog do its duty and chew on the suspect.
As a matter of fact, I claim animal abuse by the police because they denied the canine the duty it was trained for.
If not, Tesla will have a software update out in a few days for CARJACK MODE.
So, does that big high-voltage battery ride in an armored box? Just wondering how sensitive it would be to bullet strikes, since car body sheet metal is sort of like aluminum foil to most gunfire.
is there an echo in here?

Another reason I’ll never own one.

Sounds naughty
#6 The democrats have that now mandated soon in new vehicles.

The police are guilty of “canine appropiation”...
#11 That is another reason not to get a electric vehicle!
Gunfire would short out the batteries and result in a huge bonfire with you in it!
