Dinah Shore was hot. She would have turned 97 years old if still alive today.
Dinah had 34 top ten hits and 4 number 1's. ("I'll Walk Alone", "The Gypsy", "The Anniversary Song" and "Buttons and Bows")
she was ranked number 16 on TV Guide's list of the 50 top television stars of all time.
The sensuality of her voice is wonderful.
God Bless Women
God Bless Freedom
Burt Reynolds much older squeeze for a few years!😁
She did so much, but I still mostly remember her as the commercial spokeswoman for Holly Farms chicken back in the Eighties. They would especially run ads with her during ACC basketball games. I bet she got a whole BUNCH of people eating Holly Farms LOL
Seeee... The.. USA. In your Chevrolet...
Do you have a link to the song on youtube?
Like watching the Chevy Show episodes from the late 1950s, very early 1960s period done on colour videotape. These are some of the earliest surviving colour videotape programs and it is neat to see what Dinah and other well known personalities from that time looked like in that way, when most of TV back then was in black and white.
Definitely remember the Chevy ditty...
Always got her and Doris Day confused...pretty, blond, singers....But I was a sprout back then...
I have an early memory of a 78 RPM spinning on the portable record player while us kids danced to Buttons and Bows down in the rec room... gosh that must have been 59 or so. We loved that song!
Actually, she was born in 1916, so she would be 107 today if still with us. It would be neat if the nostalgia channels brought back the 1970s “Dinah’s Place” and “Dinah!” shows that featured celebrities and personalities from that era.
I always got her mixed up with Doris Day. I remember when someone in Hollywood said that he new her BEFORE she became a virgin, LOL!
“See the USA in your Chevrolet” jingle.
She was one of my mother’s favorites.
Burt was my favorite Seminole.
I believe the song “Dinah” was written for her.
Di-nah... Is there anything fine-ah....
Than the girl from Car-o-line-ah...
By the name of Dinah Lee...
The Dinah Shore Show...
“See the USA in your Chevrolet...”
As young Americans, we children watched
her show every week.
