You actually thing Speaker of the House Trump would be AWOL like Mayor Pete? He knows he has 100 days to help save the nation. I don't see him taking any vacations during that time.
It's also a win-win for the current deadlock. McCarthy knows this is the only way he can become Speaker (in 100 days) and during that time Speaker Trump can set the House in a positive motion that would be almost impossible for McCarthy to undo especially since he knows if he tried he would be voted OUT.

Along those same lines, in grade school, we referred to the peace symbol gesture held up behind someone’s head unsuspectingly as rabbit ears.
I think he’s probably needing to save his negotiation skills for his plea deal.
Except for the Senate’s blockade to an impeachment conviction.
Our dumbed-down citizenry might even raise their understanding of American civics in the process.
He’s announced for Presidency and that is where he fits best.

I was a Trump fan back in the day (late 80s). The Art of the Deal was an interesting read, especially chapters 7,11, and 13.
But not when it counts (mid 20s).
Speaker Trump would be in command of the mission to impeach Biden and Harris and instantly become President Trump.
It’s win-win for America.
