Russia fired scores of missiles into Ukraine early on Thursday, targeting Kyiv, the northeastern city of Kharkiv, and other cities in a massive aerial bombardment that sent people rushing to shelters and knocked out power, Ukrainian authorities said.

The RF Armed Forces use E95M air targets to open Ukrainian air defense systems. They are designed to imitate targets of any type - from a cruise missile to an IL-76 aircraft. Target missiles are not equipped with a warhead, they are sent at the forefront of a wave of drones and cruise missiles. The ground game was working but more persons on all sides of the conflict harmed, so they withdrew troops and are crushing infrastructure.
Complete and utter defeat for Russia I’m sure these missiles missed everything that were shot at and the operators hightailed back to Moscow in their Ladas

Blitz was aimed at London civilian infrastructure to demoralize the population, lead to pressure on political establishment
Weapons not precisely targeted
Russia knocking out civil-military infrastructure ( power grid precise nodes and military logistics) to cripple war resupply and to demoralize military and civilians, pressure political establishment. But civilian casualties not the goal, and are very low given the firepower being expended
